Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Wont Power On

Question:
the light on the control does no light up no matter if I step on the brake on push control button

Sounds like your brake controller # 5504 is not powering on due to an issue on either the power wire for the controller (most likely the black wire), or the ground wire (most likely white). Check the condition of both of those circuits on the controller and how they attach to your vehicle's wiring as that is most likely the issue.
