Will K-Source # KSRM012 Clip-On Extendable Rearview Mirror Distort Images
Updated 04/16/2015 | Published 04/15/2015 >
Question:
I was ready to buy this mirror, until I read the specs, and they said convex. I watched the video, and it said MINOR convex. How convex IS it? I hate these things, and the distorted object image they give. I much prefer plain glass. Does this product come with plain glass? Please advise. Thanks.

The center portion, the main mirror, of the K-Source # KSRM012 Clip-On Extendable Rearview Mirror is slightly convex to allow the images on its outer edges to better blend with the images from the extendable side mirrors. This helps to avoid the discontinuity in the overall image that would occur if the center mirror were fully flat.
This degree of convex curvature is not specifically quantified but it will be less than that of a typical car sideview mirror which can indeed distort the images.
