Question:
I have a 2002 Tahoe w/ factory tow package. It came with a harness separate for a brake controller. 1. Where does the plug end plug in? 2. What do I need to purchase from you folks?

The adapter plug you need will be determined by the type of brake controller you have. If you do not have a controller, I recommend a proportional type brake controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller, part # 90885. It is easy to install and use.
To plug this controller into your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, you could use the OEM harness that it sounds like you have, or go with an aftermarket adapter, part # 3025-P.
If you are using the OEM harness, it would wire to the controller as follows. The red wire on the harness connects to the black wire on the controller, the light blue wire on the harness would wire to the red wire on the controller, the black wire on the harness would attach to the white wire on the controller, and the dark blue harness wire would connect to the blue wire on the controller. If your OEM harness has a brown wire, tape off the end of it and tuck it up out of the way. If you use the aftermarket wiring adapter, it would wire up color for color to the controller.
The port for the controller is located in the junction box under the black cover behind the emergency brake pedal. You would remove the cover by taking out the screw holding it in place, and plug the connector into the second socket from the left on the top.
