Recommended Parts Needed To Rebuild Tri-Axle Trailer With EOH Brakes

Dear Sales I have a MCYO trai wheel trailer came with my boat. My boat is fountain 39 feet.And I am looking to change the axel wheel, hub, dram wheel and the breaks. ASR5200S01 Timbren Axle-Less Suspension - Spindle Only - Regular Tires - 5200 lbs 8-288-3UC1Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly - 9,000-10,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Oil Bath K2R858DS Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 13inch Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 8,000-lb Dexter Axle My trailer is between 15000-20000 ib, 8 lub with 16" ties and 3 axel 6 wheel. We have many of the components that will work for you but we do not carry axles that would be big enough to handle the heavy load you said your boat and trailer weigh. I recommend finding a dealer locally to get the right axle for your trailer and boat. When they build the axles for you they should also install brake mounting flanges and spindles to match the other items recommended below.

Since you mentioned 8,000 lb axles, I will use that figure for my recommendations for the other components. First I recommend disc brakes which gives you the stopping power you will need with such a big rig. I recommend the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, part # K2HR89DE. This includes E-coated rotors, calipers and mounting brackets for 8,000 lb axles and 16 inch wheels or larger with an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. This kit also includes the races. You will also need lug nuts for the wheels. The lug nuts I recommend are part # 6-53.

You will need inner bearing, part # 25580 for each new rotor, and part # 02475 for the outer bearing on each rotor. The grease seal I recommend is part # RG06-070. These come with two in the package.

This system will require hydraulic lines to be installed and also a surge brake coupler on the trailer or an actuator mounted to the trailer tongue for electric over hydraulic system.

If you decide to use a surge coupler and your trailer tongue is 3 inches wide, I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator, part # T4750720. This coupler has a 20,000 lb towing capacity and requires a 2-5/16 inch diameter hitch ball like part # C40085. I have also attached a link to our product page for other surge couplers you can check out.

My recommendation is for an electric-over-hydraulic brake system like part # T4813100. This actuator is mounted on the trailer and is hardwired into the trailer wiring system. You will also need a brake controller in the cab of your towing vehicle. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, part # 90885. This is our most popular because it is easy to install and operate.

The brake line kit I recommend is part # T4864000. This kit is designed to run brake lines from your actuator on the trailer to all three sets of brakes on the trailer axles. If you wish to run brake lines along the axles of your trailer to install disc brakes - as is often done for boat trailers - you will need 3 additional hoses, part # T0776500, 3 extra hose clips, part # T0776400, and 3 brackets, part # T0776300, to complete the installation.

The 16 inch wheel and tire combo I recommend is part # TTWA16RGWSHD. This is a white spoke wheel with radial tires that have a 14 ply rating and a 4,080 lb maximum load capacity at 110 psi. These also have an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern.
