You can certainly install the Prodigy P3 # 90195 yourself.
It will also depend on how your vehicle is equipped. If you happen to have a 2008 Dodge Ram with a factory 7-way connector you will need the wiring adapter # 3020-P. If your connector is a 4-way flat, you will need the universal installation kit # ETBC7. If there isn't a connector at all you will need the converter hardware kit # 119178KIT and universal wiring kit # ETBC7.
