Question:
Hi,...looking to mount the CC-255 for a Honda 3kw genset to my Bigfoot 21fb trailer camper. Seems a better solution to a mounted supporting bracket or basket of some kind on the rear trailer bumper. Your thoughts are most appreciated. Thanks.

I agree with you. Having the Honda generator mounted on the actual trailer would be better than a basket or other device. Using the Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier, # CC-255, is an excellent option. This carrier has a 300 pound weight capacity and the tray measures 32 inches long by 20 inches wide. Provided the generator can fit those dimensions and weight capacity this would be a good option.
Please note that having the generator mounted at the front of the trailer will increase the tongue weight of the trailer. I have included a link to the right that explains ways you can determine tongue weight.
I also recommend using some straps to hold the generator to the carrier such as # E01418.
