On the 2007 Legacy Outback Wagon the wiring harness used to install the # 118461 is sometimes hard to find. For some reason it gets routed differently and can be in the spare tire well, up along the back near the bottom of the rear seat or under the rear panel nearest the hatch.
I spoke to our installation technician and he said that he removes all of the panels and follows the vehicle wiring harness along until he comes across the connector. It is there you just have to search for it.
Our instructions are correct for most vehicles but some have the connector stored in an alternate location. You can try the areas mentioned and noted in the instructions to the right.
