Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here from etrailer, and today, I'm with Wirth from GE Appliances, and we're talking about RV water heaters. So just as the comfort of home, we have plenty of GE appliances. You guys also cover RV stuff, and one of that is having hot water on demand. Yeah. Making sure that you have those warm showers.
You guys offer some options as far as water heaters. What all do you have So in the tank versions, we offer dual gas electric water heaters in six and 10 gallons. They're 10,000 BTUs, so very quick recovery time. Exterior door options are black and white. These are nice, heavy-duty doors with stainless steel hinges, so they should last a long time.
And then the kit will also come with an interior toggle assembly switch for toggling off electric gas. Okay, now as far as tanked versions versus tankless, what are pros and cons of each Yeah, so tankless, one of the advantages of it is it's constant hot water all the time. They're propane, so gonna use probably more propane, but people like having that hot water on demand. So we're real excited to have that product coming. It's got some features in it.
It's got a high-altitude feature, so you can toggle that on about 5,000 feet and camp up to 10,100 feet. We did put a small mixing tank in it, so you don't get any shots of hot or cold water. Now, a six to 10 gallon, is that just, how much hot water on demand you need if you have multiple people versus just a couple or you know, a husband and wife, they could go for the six, whereas if it's a full family, maybe a 10 gallon would be the best bet. Yeah, definitely. We're seeing some people that are replacing their existing six-gallon water heaters with 10 gallons.
If they have about eight inches more depth than that cabinet, then they could upgrade to a 10 gallon from a six gallon. Okay. And then as far as you know, taking my old one out and installing a new one, what are we getting into to get this installed Yeah, so this cutout's 12-1/2 X 12-1/2. So it meets some of the other manufacturer's cutouts for six-gallon water heaters primarily. Okay. And then as far as wiring everything up, it should be just take the old one out and everything should hook up all the same That's it. It's just got a straight plug in it, plug it in, and then wiring the interior toggle switch for your gas electric and then installing your exterior door. So you mentioned that toggle switch, what exactly is that switching So you can toggle between using your electricity to heat the water or use propane. Okay. So yeah, if you're completely off grid or if you have short power, you have options. Right, yep. Awesome. So, yeah, great way. You know, hot water heater is something that, you know, may not be the first essential people think of, but when you're out camping, and you don't have a hot shower, it can really make or break the whole weekend. So if you're looking to replace or upgrade your water heater, GE Appliance has you covered, you got a few different options. So huge thanks to Wirth for taking the time to show us GE appliances' Tankless Water Heater, as well as the six and 10-gallon version. Yeah. Thanks for having me. Thank you.
