Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the replacement LED headlight bulbs. These are going to be a great improvement over what comes in your vehicle, and also over your typical halogen bulbs as well. They're going to be brighter and more precisely focused, so you're not going to blind other drivers while you're out on the road. They are rated for city use or highway use. You don't have to worry about any other traffic getting blinded by your lights.

I know that that's something that annoys me from other cars, is they're super bright headlights that are right in that spot. So these shouldn't have an issue with that. You can also use them as your low beams for your vehicle, so no worries about it. It is going to be the nine zero one two or 90 12 style bulbs.So let's take a closer look at them and make sure that they're going to be the right fit for you. I'm actually going to hook these up to power so you can see just how bright they are and the color.

They're going to be a nice, cool white, so that helps promote better visibility at night. That's typically going to be a band of light that we can see a bit better, it just helps to promote more visibility. Now these are polar sensitive. So you want to be sure that you connect them to the right spot. You won't have to worry about using alligator clamps like me, but just whenever you're plugging them into your wiring, if it has an indicator of positive and negative, be sure to note that whenever you plug it in.

So there we go, and I'm going to turn my light on.You can see nice and bright, and it does have the ability to rotate, so we can adjust the direction of that light to fit best with our vehicle's headlight housing. And you can tell that light is also that nice, cool white color, it's kind of hard to see since it's just a disembodied light here, but it does have really nice, clear visibility for us. So I'm going to disconnect this, and we can go over some of the more technical information. These are IP rated at IP six seven, which means they're going to be impervious to dust and weatherproof. So no worries about any water dust getting in there and causing any issues.

Again, it's just a plug and play application, works with 12 volt DC systems, the light output per bulb for the raw lumens it's 3000, for our effective lumens it's 1,995. That's going to be more the number to pay attention to, that's taking into account real world situations, so not everything is going to be perfect, which is what the raw lumen output is. It's everything being perfect, that would be the potential for these lights.After about 30 minutes, that output does drop down to 1,550 lumens. It's still a very nice bright light for us. The color temperature is 6,500 Kelvin, which is that nice, cool white color that we saw, the power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. The wattage is 16.5 watts per bulb, operating voltage goes between 7.5 volts and 16 volts DC, and it does have a two year limited warranty on the bulbs. You do get instructions or an owner's manual with this, and also a sticker. That's pretty much it for our look at the bulbs. Some vehicles may need a harness to go with these, an anti-flicker harness. If you have CAN Bus or PWM equipped vehicle, then you will need that. The part number for that is there on the screen, so check that out if you need it, you can either buy it as a kit or separately.
