The fastener size that is used is a three quarter inch diameter.Now, the opening on this pintle hook when it's in the closed position like that is gonna be two inches by two inches. Again, the matching gross trailer weight capacity is 90,000 lbs. Maximum vehicle load, or tongue weight capacity, is 18,000 lbs.And just to show you how this operates, basically what you'll wanna do is right here you have a clip, you just remove that clip, and then what you'll have to do is pull this handle-- let's turn it this way.

You'll pull the handle out and then you'll rotate it clockwise, and when you do that, you'll notice the pintle hook will open up.Now, once you hook up, all you have to do is push that closed and you're all ready to go. And again, to open it up, you just pull the handle out, rotate it clockwise, and it'll automatically pop open.Now, when you're all locked on, you just put your clip back on there and you're all ready to go.
