How do I know which Draw-Tite hitch fits my vehicle?

Just head to etrailer's Fit Guide and enter your vehicle’s year, make, and model. It'll pull up all the hitches that fit your ride. That way, you’re not guessing—you’ll know it’s the right fit for your truck, SUV, or car.

What’s the difference between all these hitch classes?

It really depends on what you’re towing.
  • Class I & II – Great for small trailers, bike racks, and cargo carriers.
  • Class III – The most common—perfect for mid-size trailers, boats, and utility loads.
  • Class IV – Built for heavier-duty towing, like big trailers and campers.
If you're towing something serious, go with Class III or IV. If you just need to haul bikes or a small trailer, Class I or II will do the trick!

Can I install a Draw-Tite hitch myself?

Most of them are bolt-on, so no welding or crazy modifications needed. If you’re handy with basic tools, you can probably install it in your driveway. But if you're not comfortable working under your vehicle, check out etrailer's Local Installer Tool to find a professional.

What’s special about Draw-Tite hitches?

They’re super durable and built to last. They have a fully welded construction, so they’re really strong, and the powder-coated finish helps prevent rust. Plus, they’re custom-fit, so they sit snug against your vehicle instead of sticking out awkwardly.

How do I keep my hitch in good shape?

Just clean it occasionally, especially after driving in rain or snow. If you see any rust spots, touch them up with some rust-inhibiting spray. And if you’re not using it all the time, a hitch cover helps keep dirt and debris out of the receiver.
