Love this QUALITY product! I have purchased a similar product from Harbor Freight, which was OK, but not near the same quality & did not have the NEAT NIGHTTIME light up tips, which is VERY handy. WELL WORTH the higher cost.
I used a homemade version of this 30 years ago when connecting a boat [way before backup cameras ;) ] and it makes lining up the GenY to my GooseBall very easy.
This is a very practical item that works great. My only problem was that, while trying to figure out how to turn on the LED attachment, one of them fell apart and scattered tiny bits all over my shop floor. I was lucky to have found all the parts and get it back together and working fine now. These need to be handled with care because, even though they're a great idea, they are flimsy.
I have not gotten the chance to use it yet but it came in perfect condition. Thank you for fast shipping, videos of your products, and excellent customer service! I love this place for all my trailering needs!
Helpful. Especially since my truck’s back up camera functions sporadically.
It’s exactly what I was looking for. These guides make hitching up trailers a one person job.
I used yellow balls to assist with backing to the trailer. Was very helpful. If you have a hard time backing to the trailer, I would recommend this product.

They work great.
The aligner was delivered very fast. This system/tool at under $20.00 is an excellent choice over a camera system at $150-200. This is especially the case if you, like me, do not pull a trailer much. It takes some skill development to get the alignment right, but not much. I got close enough on my first try. Much better than backing blind!
One of the blinking LED lights did not light. I disassembled it and found the small, delicate wire contact was not aligned proper in the socket. Misaligned aligner? Fixed it and it works fine now. I do not expect to be hooking up at night, but as an early morning aid, the LED option is a good idea.
I was concerned that this aligner would not work for me because I use a 180 degree aluminum hitch ball assembly on my GMC pickup with which I move the trailer around occasionally. I tow on the road with a 3/4T Suburban with an all steel, weight balancing hitch ball assembly. The aligner is magnetic and will not attach to aluminum.
However, the edge of the hitch pocket sticks out beyond the bumper just enough to provide a steel surface directly behind the ball. (See photo).
I recommend the aligner to the frugal, occasionally tower. More frequent towing? I would go to a quality wireless camera set up.
Very easy to use! One truck has back up camera on it but the other two doesn’t. My flatbed with fuel tank on it is where I use this the most, for either the gooseneck trailer or a bumper pull trailer, it works really great!
Just didn't help .. the magnetic base had a tough time finding a decent flat spot on the trailer tongue, and the yellow alignment balls were barely visible through the back window once the vehicle was loaded. Good concept and inexpensive .. just didn't work for me
Extremely easy to use and works fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone that's trying to hook up a trailer without a camera.
I have not used them yet but looks like it will work very well .
The person that thought of this is a Genius. Takes all the work out of hooking up to a trailer alone. I highly recommend buying this product.
Great quality for the price.

no problems, but have rarely needed to use it
Well let’s start off with this worked great. The led lights were a nice add-on and I even used them once for one night hookup. That being said, I’d forgotten I had them. Because using them for awhile, I got the feel of hooking up my trailer and now it’s very routine. I know where my alignment points are and it because I used the hitch alignment balls to develop the skills to do it without help. OK once in awhile everyone has a bad day, tge stars don’t align and Gods screwing with you and you can’t get that trailer lined up to save your life ( and usually it’s raining or snowing or it’s like 180 degrees outside). But mostly it’s a great investment. Oh piece of advice; with the trailer hooked up decide where the markers are easily seen and line up from the drivers seat. Not straight on. Slightly angled toward driver.

To be honest don’t use it all that often. Like I said in original review. It’s a great learning tool. And I still start using it when I have to hook up a new trailer. Basically it gives you muscle memory. And you learn where your pivot points are. I’ve even used it on my plow. To line up my hitch points. This is a very good item to keep around. And if you are having a crap day and can’t line it up. Break out the lineup balls. Or lights at night I keep it in my Jeep so I always know where it is. Plus that’s my plow vehicle snd the plow lineup in the cold is a bear. Remember to line this up to drivers position not dead center. Once I was hooked up I marked the position for the next time I need it. So my review is this is a great tool, and you should keep it handy. And this reminded me to check the batteries in the lights just in case
After using the tow hitch aligner for a year, I have
To say it is a wonderful device.
I now can hitch my 14 foot in one attempt, every time, with no assistance.
No more jumping out of my truck to see where the
Ball is.
The only caveat is that you must learn how to
Properly align and view the alignment in your
Mirror(s).
The magnets to attach one ball to the hitch and
The other to the tow vehicle is terrific. Also the
Fact that the balls are attached to a telescoping
Wand make it easy to align the balls doing set up.
I just love my hitch alignment tool; it works great.

It is great!!
This tool is something I had thought about making myself and so when I found it , it was one less task. I have not used the lighted function yet but overall it works great and the first time I could get trailer to hitch within a 1/2"! I nicknamed this device " the Marriage Saver" because it prevents those arguments where interpretations of hand signals and terms like "more" are not in scale or measurable to help make small adjustments for the unfortunate person "helping you back up"! This tool has proved durable, repeatable and we'll worth the money as a proven Time saver! Great stocking
stuffer!

Great, be sure to pack balls in a protected container or spot!
This is one of the Great Inventions of the 21st Century, in my opinion. SO Simple. SO Easy. Why didn't someone invent this a century earlier???There's a slight difficulty for me because one of my trailer hitches has a round top, so the 'mast' tends to tilt. Anyone should be able to either File a flat spot or whack a dent that'll support the magnet. During the day it's not a problem--I can see the direction of the mast. At night, it's more of a challenge. Still, I hope someone got an award for inventing this (the REAL Inventor, not his supervisor :-[ )

I genuinely write home about this, telling relatives about something theyve got to get.
These are a great time saver when hitching up to our popup camper. Better than using a second person with hand signals, and no need for a backup camera. I can get within an inch of the hitch on the first try, and without having to get in and out of the tow vehicle several times to check the distance. They collapse down to a small size and store in my storage box on the camper. The LED attachments work well, too.

could not be better, no more problems with backing up
SIMPLE, STRAIGHTFORWARD, WORKS GOOD. NEVER USED THE LIGHTS
This aligner works well as long as the trailer and tow vehicle are on parallel surfaces, side to side. This may seem obvious, but I didn't realize it until I tried it at home where the approach to my trailer is at a slight angle relative to the trailer parking position. So it doesn't work well there. At most campsites, this is not the case, so it works very well at them.

When I can back up in line with the trailer, it works very well and saves getting in and out of the tow vehicle multiple times. I havent had occasion to use the lights, so I cant comment on them.
These have been a quick and easy way to line up the trailer and hitch when backing up. We have a truck bed toolbox that is to tall to see the hitch and these make it an easy operation to get lined up.

These were great for the learning curve, but I no longer use them as I have developed better skills in hooking up.
Super easy to install. Great value for a good quality product. Thanx for the fast shipping too.
I have not been able to use them yet as I just received them, but looking at them they seem to be able to make connections g to my trailer easier. A problem I have is one of the red lights does not work for some and the other, the threads are striped so the lights don't work

It works great. It is much easier to line up the hitch with the trailer, especially when there is a reverse camera in the vehicle

I have a Jeep Wrangler and the back door would not open because the neck of the jack that came with the trailer was too tall.
This neck - when lowered all the way, does not impeed the door from opening.
I talk with a rep before ordering. She was very helpful and got me the correct product.

Sounds like the perfect fit, Michael! What are you usually hauling with your trailer?
With slight alteration of my a-frame, I was able to successfully install this able trailer jack. Beforehand, I had a center-column jack that required extensive cranking to lower and raise the foot. My trailer hitch is 22" high. This jack stand has sufficient lift to accommodate my trailer. Also, it makes coming and going so much easier because of it's column-slide mechanism. It was worth the cost and installation. In my case, I had to buy a burr bit to increase the diameter of the 2-1/4" hole on the gusset below the top plate to accommodate the sliding action of the new jack. Initially it bonded. I increased the diameter to about 2-1/2 inches for sliding clearance. I also greased the column "track valley" slightly, to ease vertical sliding. I considered many other jacks, but for my purpose and for my trailer, a 2024 Taxa Cricket Overland, this jack satisfies my needs. Note, the dual wheels do not come with the jack.
Locking pin will prevent dropping down while towing. Easy to install.

Yes, it is great how easy it is to swap out an A-Frame style jack ScarletKnight! Install looks great!
I love this so far. So nice to be able to adjust it out and pull it out to get the tailgate down.

YES! Happy to hear it has been a win! Thanks for sending in the photo, too :)
Mine arrived with a drill bit end broken into the release handle. In fact, the drill bit was what was holding it together. I don't know what a production unit has in that through hole (a roll pin?). Regardless, it isn't something you want to find in a new jack. After I punched it out, I added a snap ring pin to hold it in place. One other comment would be that the foot needs to be unbolted in order to remove the jack. Ideally a locking pin would have been better than the bolt for a "no-tools-needed" removal.

Aside from my initial findings, this has been a joy to use. I love the fact that I dont really need to haul that extra block of wood everywhere and can quickly pop up or down the jack for stowage or use.
This is an excellent replacement for the jack on my Legend 16' V-nose with aluminum frame, it was easy to install, mounting flange matched perfectly. This style trailer sits very low and has always been a headache going in and out of gas stations, ect. The original style Jack foot hits "sometimes very hard," even when the jack is cranked all the way up. Now I rotate the top pin, remove the bottom foot pin and remove the complete Jack and store it in the back of the truck, takes 30 seconds.

After a year of using this Jack I have to say Im very pleased. It has worked as advertized and has held up well. I would definitely recommend it as a replacement Jack.
Grind the washers a bit on one side and works great on a Bulldog hitch. Really liked the way it moves out of the way of the tailgate. Would buy again.
Great jack. This is our 2nd one on the same trailer, only due to my son forgetting to pull the extension up before going down the road... ;)
We will be purchasing another for our newer trailer.
Thanks etrailer! Keep up the great work.
Also, a special shout out to Joshua for keeping us updated throughout the order. 10 Stars!
Finally... (at least to my knowledge) a company has produced an affordable, heavy duty, well built and "SMARTLY DESIGNED" trailer jack for light to medium duty trailers. The "pin secured" telescoping leg is fantastic... cutting down on hand cranking until one is dizzy! Having just rebuilt my deck-over 7K lb. trailer with a new axle, e-brakes, heavy duty stabilizers, and over-under axle kits (all from etrailer)... all that was needed was a good trailer jack to replace the weak and damaged original... now I've got that too and the rig is set to go! I have several work trailers for my equipment, hauling and dumping... they will all feel the love of etrailer as necessary.

I couldn't agree more with you about this jack, Dennis! The adjustable bracket is such a game changer and make it easy to mount on just about any trailer. It also sounds like you did a good overhaul on this trailer with all the upgrades and replacements you have done so far! Any other trailer projects on the horizon?
The low profile allowed by the drop pin adjustment is great! The capability to lower a tailgate with a secure jack (not a frame side bolt-on) has been elusive.
Towed bike trailer to Florida in Feb was able to remove jack to keep it out of the salt and weather
This works great. I have an 8x10" cargo trailer with a V front. This works great, because we have a steep apron on a home in Arizona. I have ruined two jacks because of this apron. I emailed the manufacturer two questions and received a phone call a few hours later with a very informative representative. I was pleasantly surprised with the representative's friendly response to all my questions, and he added how the jacks work how to use it in several ways

I really like this jack. It's held up well and the adjustable pin settings save a lot of hand cranking.

Still going strong.

After tearing up two standard jacks that would not go up high enough, I switched to this one. Not only does it go up high enough, it makes it easier and faster to raise and lower the hitch. I highly recommend this jack.

Hey Brad. Sounds like a major upgrade! What kind of trailer are you using it on?
The reason I purchased the jack is I needed a flexible height. This allowed me to lower my tailgate on my F150 without hitting the top of the jack.
This Jack works perfectly. All the controls work flawlessly.
to adjust.
Just what I needed was unable to open truck tailgate all the way with new trailer this low profile lift takes care of that!
Thanks

I have a 14' utility trailer I use to transport my Yamaha Wolverine Side by Side. I tow it behind my pickup and my motorhome. It is normal for me to travel some questionable dirt roads. As a result I bent the original jack several times and actually had to replace it once. It didn't retract far enough, it left an inch or two hanging below the A-frme tongue. Sometimes a steep driveway approach would catch it and bend it. When I destroyed the replacement jack I decided it was time to look for a solution.
I spent a few more bucks and got the Ultimate Trailer Jack. It retracts above the bottom of the A-frame tongue so the jack is protected. Problem solved!
I recommend this trailer jack to anyone that has a clearance issue that results in dragging your trailer jack.

Jon

The Ultimate trailer jack is simply “The Solution” for those who have bent a center mount trailer jack that doesn’t fully, completely retract above the trailer frame. I haven’t had any problem with jack clearance since I installed an Ultimate trailer jack. It was necessary for me to use Allen head hardware to mount my new jack because of the bolt pattern on my Big Tex trailer.
Have an old horse trailer and clearance is an issue. This worked perfectly to give clearance when trailering.
Works perfectly. Surprised at build qua lity.

Looks like you did a great job, Michael! What kind of trailer do you have this on? Towing anything fun?
I have been looking for some solution to my tailgate hitting my jack for a while. The solutions of a swing out jack don't work well for me as it would have to be too far off center for my comfort and on the outside of the tongue due to the breakaway box and spare tire. Found this and my dreams were fulfilled. Installed in minutes in place of my original jack. Easy to use, an excellent tool!

Still great! I occasionally lube the slide and pin with dry lube. Best manual trailer jack I have ever owned.
Quick delivery!Easy instructions and bolted right up. Quality built. No more cinder blocks and wood. No more bent or buckled jacks. My trailer was home built in 1969 and has seen several replacement jacks. NO MORE!!!
This product worked excellent for my needs and is as advertised. It has a nice finish and works smooth. When matched with a foot plate JF-100-ZBK, it provides a low profile while in transit.
A couple things to note: the extension tube is 2” OD, the main body is 2 1/4”, and the mount tube is 2 3/4”. While the mount has a slotted holes for mounting to existing holes, my pattern of 3” center hole to hole (1.73” circumcircle radius), was about the minimum as a socket did not have space on a bolt head and an end wrench was required to tighten them; anything less will likely require drilling new holes. Lastly, the Jack has fine threads that raise and lower slowly, but is negated by maximizing the extend ability with quick pin.
