Contacted 2 customer service reps, sent pics asked several questions and just received an email with little help. Disappointing
etrailer was informative and knowledgeable on product. Pricing was very good.
My old jet ski trailer was getting impossible to keep grease in wheel bearings. The Bearing Buddy spindle seal system was easy to install and looks like it should work perfectly. As you can see in pictures the spindles have significant wear and the kit fit perfectly. I expect to not be throwing grease everywhere.

A clever product to provide a smooth surface for the bearing seal. Most boat trailers will suffer some corrosion of the spindle where the bearing seal rides. This product supplies a new seal surface that installs easily. The only modification that may be necessary is to increase the depth of the cotter pin slot in the castle nut, I had to do that to only one of my spindles. Great product!
A great fix for rusty seal seats. However the axle nut sits out farther on the shaft after installation making it difficult to install cotter pin. I ground out the groove in the castellated nut to accommodate.
The old set of seals were oozing a little so I installed a set of new bearings and stock seals purchased from my local trailer supply store. I took it for a test ride, huge hunks of grease all over the inside of my rims, a real disappointment.
Got on the web with etrailer.com, they got the 1.980 Bearing Buddy Grease Seal Set - BB60001 and the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 1980A in a few days. It took 45 minutes to read the instructions, install the grease seals and protectors and clean-up. What a great fix! I had to make a 200 mile run that day to pick-up a classic canoe for a customer, not a speck of grease anywhere, clean, clean, clean!!!

These grease seals are a great compliment to the Bearing Buddy lubricators. The spindle seals I had were shot and the grease pressure had pushed one of the seals completely out of the hub! The sleeve that came with the kit covered up a worn seal surface on the axle. This product saved me from having to replace the axle!
I did have have to cut deeper grooves in the spindle nut to accomodate the cotter pin. I needed to remove about 2 MM and I was able to accomplish this with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel.

The Bearing Buddy grease seals are still working great after a year in service. I have to pull my trailer in snow and slush conditions, as well as off-road. In addition, it has to be stored outside when not in use. The grease stays in the hub, where it belongs. I would not install Bearing Buddy lubricators without these seals.
Product came as described. Item was out of stock at the time of the order so it took a long time to receive it. Communication with etrailer was excellent.

This product works great. Its the ideal solution for a worn or rough sealing surface.
These were easy to install; just follow instructions. Stopped a long-term grease seal leak on my boat trailer. Do not really understand totally how these puppies seal in the grease, but they do!
I had ordered the Bearing Buddy seals before so this time I went to etrailer.com and had the specific ones I needed for my trailer in Just minutes. I highly recommend the Bearilng Buddy Seals if you have a trailer with graseable hubs. I could not find the seals in stock locally.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS SEAL FOR A YEAR AND IT HAS WORKED PERFECTLY NO GREASE LEAKS. I HAVE 2 OTHER BOAT TRAILERS WITH LUB HUBS AND THE NEXT TIME I HAVE THE HUBS OFF THEY WILL GET THIS SEAL
The stainless axle seals and bearing seals were a breeze to install. I also as you know installed new bearings and races that I purchased from you. The entire process went very well with no problems whatsoever. I'm 75 years old and am experienced in working with cars so it may prove a little more difficult with someone that is a novice. I will, without a doubt use your services again should I need them. Great products!!!

As others have said, I'm sure satisfied with the way the seals can save an axle that has damage to the seal surface. Now I will always have a fresh surface each time I change them.
The purpose of finding this seal was solely for saving an axle that was old and a very odd, and expensive, size. So, for me, this was a very easy choice. Still in great service and pulled 2400 miles to northwest Ontario and doing great.
My sincere thanks to the staff for telling me about this type of seal. Saved me hundreds.

I still have two of the trailers the bearings, seals, and Bearing Buddies are still working great with no leaks or any problems.
I have a Trailrite trailer for my boat. I used the new seals after removing the old ones to repack the inner bearings. The spindle already had the shinny insert, but the new ones wouldn't fit over the existing spindle and the existing ones looked good. I used the brass portion with rubber seal and the spring.
When deciding to replace the bearings in my boat trailer, I was unaware that a better seal was provided when using my existing Bearing Buddies which tends to force some grease out the back side of the seal. They were very easy to install and use and so far see no signs of grease are coming out the seal after several trips to the bay.
An easy to install product that keeps grease where it should be -- in the hub and not all over the inside of your trailer wheels. It allows proper use of Bearing Buddies, and includes an inner stainless seal that repairs a damaged spindle. Excellent!
Fit my 1 inch axle perfectly. Perfect repair for a worn seal surface. Seals fit my hubs as well. Allows the bearing buddies to work correctly and not cause over filling of hubs with grease.
Nice upgrade and repair for my 1967 Little Dude trailer. Everything went together well and also installed Bearing Buddies. etrailers service is excellent as usual

This seal assembly allowed me to run a new grease seal on a damaged axle. A great product as were the kenda 8'' wheels,and the new hubs purchased. Very helpful sales people, and quick regular delivery.

will save you the trouble pulling the old spindles and replace them.

Trailer from indiana to southern Florida 2 to 3 times yearly bearings have performed excellent with no problems at all. Great product, very reliable. ETrailer service has always been excellent and staff super helpful. As a note. I sold my boat and trailer to buyer in Houston Texas. It was hauled to Houston without problems.

Last week I started thinking about my kayak trailer and what repairs needed to be completed before the spring and summer usage.
In 2011 I converted a small sailboat trailer to a two place kayak trailer. I ordered bearing kits wheels and tires at that time from e trailer. Every year I pull the wheels and grease the bearings and I install new grease seals. Last year when I was doing my maintenance I found that the bearing races were lightly rusted and pitted because the trailer was buried under a large snowfall. The bearings were fine and I cleaned up the races with steel wool. I decided I would replace everything come winter. I ordered bearing caps to replace my old dented caps hoping that this will keep the bearings dryer. I made a place in the garage to keep the trailer from the weather.
I placed a call to you guys and was greeted by a very friendly voice on the other end of the phone. Brandon was able to find my past order saving me time and effort. (My filing system could be better.) He was able to e-mail me copies of my previous orders and shortly there after I placed my order on line for new bearing kits and a few extra seals and well you know the rest. The bearing kit seemed to work out just fine. I put everything together today. The only thing I wondered about was the relatively small cotter pins, but they still worked all right. Before I placed the order, I was having difficulty identifying the seals. I could not find a match anywhere for numbers on the old ones. After calipering everything and talking to you by phone, your advice for the 34823 seal was correct. Thanks for your technical help and providing a good quality product.

This is a great site! Very helpful reviews and videos. Previous reviews I read before my purchase allowed me to know what to expect when I received my bearing kit. As stated in reviews, when you open the box, you find a clear plastic bag with parts bunched together. No fancy packaging, but, if the bearings do the job, who cares?

I docked them one star for received wrong item in first shipment. Contacted customer support and they shipped the correct item in a day or two. This bearing kit was an exact replacement for my bearings # 30205. Hard to find item cause I couldn't find a cross reference replacement anywhere.

I purchased the bearing kit to refurbish the hubs on my kayak trailer. They were a perfect fit and having the bearings, races, grease seals and a new cotter pin all together made it a complete set of parts. I also purchased the install tool to install the races and grease seals.
The refurb was easy with the parts kit and tool and made it easy to do the work in my home garage….
The replacement parts I received were appropriate. I have not put the trailer on the road yet and will not until early June at which time I will pull it 400 miles (200 each way). The test on parts will come then. If I have problems I will let you know. Paula was very helpful, parts arrived in a few days and they matched the original parts.

etrailer delivered these bearings very quickly. The bearings seem to be every bit the quality of the Timken bearings I was replacing, at less than half the price. Due to the price, I was able to rebuild 2 hubs for less than the cost of 1 Timken kit. I haven't used the trailer much since replacing the bearings, so I can't comment on their durability, but they seem to be doing the job. The next time I need trailer parts, etrailer will be the first place I look.

The trailer is still rolling down the road-mostly hauling a 600 pound atv- without a problem.
Arrived as advertised, prompt, good fit, wearing well. Would definitely buy again.
I ordered 2 sets of bearings for a small utility trailer. The bearings were received quickly. The bearings appeared to be of good quality and fit perfectly. I saved a considerable amount of money shopping at etrailer after pricing local parts. The sets included races, bearings, seal and cotter pin. I taught my grandson how to install the bearings. Good parts and good memories.

One year later all the parts are working just like new.
Can't beat the prices and product selection. I was able to get bearings, races and seals to do two hubs for what I would have paid to do one locally. Although the bearing kits were made in China, they appeared to be a better quality bearing than the China bearings I removed from the hubs. No issues with packaging or shipping. Not only can one find parts here but, lots of good info and support as well.

The trailer I installed the parts on belongs to my 93 yr old neighbor. Needless to say, it is used very little. He and his son were planning on using it and wanted me to check it out before doing so. Thats when I discovered the need for new bearings and seals. He also wanted it road worthy for any of the neighbors that might need to borrow it. However, what time it has been used, it has done exceptionally well. Very smooth and quiet and although I had a bit of difficulty getting the pigtail to plug into the connection on the truck, all lights are working for the first time in many years. The Yates spool roller is a heavy duty replacement roller that matches the one i am replacing on my boat trailer. I also am replacing the wheel bearings and seals with the 1inch L44643 bearings and 34823 seals. Replacement went great , great fit fast service from etrailer and great prices.
