Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord
Grand Cherokee L Overlander, wiring a few feet too short. Had to piece out wire between right to left taillights. The 6 pin plug is a good improvement over a 4 pin plug.
Part of our flat-two set/up. Works great. ETrailer customer support is the best!

Hopkins 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 4-Way Flat Connector
I was looking for something to add to my 2014 Equinox for tail/brake/t-signal lighting for towing behind my motorhome. This system worked perfectly , and couldn't have been easier to install. The hardest part was running the wiring from front to rear ( through frame rails and what-not ). Tail-lite hook-up was a breeze. There was plenty of wire to do the job also. Now the vehicle lites work as a trailer and does not interfere with the normal vehicle lite operation.
installed your isolating diode wiring harness 38955 also the blue ox base plate bx1126 . install was very easy with video on your site.was installed on my 2007 wangler to be towed with holiday rambler motor home.

Blue Ox 4-Diode Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles
Once installed, everything worked great. However, there were no instructions on connecting to a single plug LED tail light system. All the instructions and videos we could find showed a multi-bulb incandescent tail light. We had to do trial and error literally. If someone has or knows of a link for this, I'd appreciate it.
Wiring works great but there was a several day delay in the shipping. We ordered on Saturday 17th and it didn't ship until the following Thursday 22nd and we received it on Monday 26th....very disappointed in customer service. I will only use etrailer as my last resort for ordering anything else.

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Straight Adapter Cord
The installation ins ructions and video were very helpful. The wiring kit worked perfectly.
Installed this in our 2015 F-150 so we could safely tow it behind our Motor Home. The directions were clear and the install went well. Zero issues after a year of traveling the US.

Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit
Bought as part of the installation of the Invisi-brake system and installed as part of the lighting system. Does the job for which it is designed. All lights work as they should.
have successfully completed the installation of the following items that I purchased from etrailer: > Nighthawk RM-676 tow bar > RM-524458-5 base plate > DEMCO Stay in play DM86VR > RM-152 diode wiring kit > RM-156-25 charge wire kit > RM-88400 brake switch relay kit I work slow but methodically. I had no issues other than the high degree of difficulty for a 68 y/o man working alone. This project exceeds the abilities of someone NOT mechanically inclined. There is also the need for some specialty tools. I found that feeding the wiring through the dash, firewall, and underbody was more difficult than installing the front baseplate. Overall, I am satisfied with the function of this installation. I am glad I did it myself rather than having it done. Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Hybrid Adapter Cord
The wiring harness for signals and brake lights was a four-wire ribbon mold with a white, brown, yellow and green. I installed it on a 2001 GMC Yukon XL. There was barely enough wire remaining at the front bumper area to install into the 6-wire plug. The four wires go to different places and have to be pulled apart which risks exposing copper strands. I would have preferred to have four separate wires to lower risk of peeling the cladding. The worst part is that after installing DEMCO's Delta Force supplemental brake, both of my towed GMC Yukon XL signal lights would blink when I used my RV signals, whether left or right. I've towed it over 13,000 miles now on four trips and haven't been hit or stopped by the St Pol. They veh's behind me see both Yukon lights blink, but they can see the yellow, intended turn signal on my RV as those lights are almost 6 ft high. When I decide to wire my 2020 Silverado, I won't buy a kit from you, just the diodes. I'll buy my own AWG 16 or 14 (? can't remember) wire in the same colors. I'll bundle it and put it my own black flex loom. That's the other thing. Your Roadmaster kit didn't have anywhere near enough loom to protect the wire.
The plug in to auto did not work, had to get another. Being that it is enclosed within unit wrapping, I JUST HAD TO TIE IT UP FOR TRAVEL. so ITS functionality, side lights did not work also. Finally it is quite heavy. Overall stay away from this unit.

Blue Ox Block Diode Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles
Must easier to install
Worked perfect for setting my 2001 Jeep Wrangler up for flat towing behind my Motorhome. The instructions were clearly written, the diode was clearly marked and all the connectors were there to make this wiring job simple.

Demco 4-Diode Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord
I'm happy with the product and I was able to install it without too much difficulty. The etrailer.com video does not accurately represent the tail light removal. I believe the video was for a 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid. On my 2024 Ford Escape Hybrid the rear bumper must be removed in order to remove the entire tail light. To avoid removing the bumper, I disconnected all except the one hidden connection and pivot the tail light to create approximately 1.25" space at the top. I was able to fish the wires and make the diode attachments through that 1.25" space
I was told that this tail light and diode kit works on my 2025 Chevy Trax. It does not. You cannot hook if up to your battery to charge while towing because you cannot disconnect the positive battery terminal. As such, you cannot isolate the vehicle battery. Additionally, you cannot connect the trailer light wiring to a 2025 Chevy Trax. The tail lights and signals are controlled by the vehicle's computer. You must use separate magnetic tail lights and signals. I still use the adaptor cord, but only to go from my motorhome to separate tail light wiring that runs to my magnetic lights.
