Thule Portage Canoe Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Gunwale Brackets - Side Loading
Great canoe rack! Fast service!!
As all Thule products the Thule universally mounted canoe carrier is great. It came with all required items for safe and easy canoe transportation. There are two straps with pull to fasten for the canoe down, two tie down ropes for each end with nice pull tight and release mechanisms for the cord as well, along with two straps to fasten to the canoe ends used with the pull to tighten cords. The Chevy traverse cross bar had to have the plastic end caps removed for use with Thule canoe carrier. This was because my canoe took up the entire cross bar width to allow for Thule mounts. It is not a big deal to remove the plastic end caps. They only provide a finished stream lined look. Happy and Safe Canoeing

Rhino-Rack SUP and Surfboard Pads w/ Tie-Downs for Crossbars - Universal - 33-1/2" Long - Qty 2
These pads worked well on our Yakima RailBar Crossbars- Item #Y00448-0449 that we also bought from etrailer around 2020/2021. Not sure if etrailer carries the exact Yakima Crossbars anymore, but think they have a similar model. Both the pads and crossbars work well to haul our kayak on our 2019 Subaru Forester. etrailer's customer service rocks! We had a lot of questions purchasing both items and they were great to talk to!
The product came quickly and was so easy to install on my existing roof rails! It is absolutely perfect to fit many needs above and beyond my kayaks and paddle boards. They look so good on my new 2019 Jag F-Pace I might leave them on all the time.

Yakima KeelOver Canoe Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs - Gunwale Brackets - Clamp On
Excellent product! We have two other sets!
I've been using the product for two summers now and it is perfect for what I'm using it for. My canoe is an Old Town Discovery 133, it's very wide and I initially had trouble fitting it in the brackets with how relatively narrow my Rav4 is, but the instructions that came with them mentioned I could just flip them around. That worked perfectly. I only use the brackets and the tie down straps from the kit to tie the boat to the crossbars, and then use the painter lines I put on the bow and stern of the boat to tie those to the car. That rides on the highway very easily with no shifting. With two people, the load/unload time is around 10 minutes as long as one person knows what they are doing. This kit had exactly what I was looking for, seems built to last, and if I ever need another kit to help tie a canoe to a car then I know I can trust this product to get the job done safely and reliably.

Swagman Exo Aero Rooftop Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs - Saddle Style - Clamp On
I bought this rack to replace a Thule Dock Glide for use on my Malone Microsport kayak/canoe trailer. The Dock Glide worked fine on my rooftop wing bars but wouldn't hold my kayak in position on the trailer. Road vibrations and trailer bouncing would cause the kayak to twist no matter how tight my straps. The Swagman Exo Aero mount is an absolutely perfect fit on the Microsport crossbars with the cutout of the mount top portion and a depression in the bottom bar exactly fitting the cross bar (1 1/4") and is rock solid with no chance of shifting position. The Swagman mount is heavily constructed and the rubber strips on the wide bars hold the kayak like a vise. The boat doesn't shift at all no matter how bumpy the road. Great product.
Hi Carol, I emailed my feed back. Out here in the sticks your website couldnt load properly. It a great product. Perfect for this light duty purpose.

Thule MultiLift Cargo Lift and Storage System - Ceiling Mount - 220 lbs
Overall I give this Thule Multilift Cargo Lift a five star rating; however installing this device takes some effort and skill. Maybe more effort and skill than the typical DYI'er can provide. The instructions provided do not have any words or dimensions, only pictures. Other than following the routing of the rope through the pullies it didn't provide me any benefit. Also, my system did not come with any screws or bolts. For me that was not a big deal as I have plenty of hardware I can use. There is one center bracket and four pullies to install. The spacing does not line up with typical dimensions so I had to improvise to get the Multilift installed. My garage ceiling has joist spacing that is 16" on center. That is typical, although some may have 24" on center spacing. Either way the spacing for the screws to secure the various components does not match. I guess you could use toggle bolts to hold the components to the ceiling sheetrock but I didn't trust that idea. What I did was to span my ceiling joists with 1"x4" wood and then attach the components to them. The kit comes with a template so getting the actual components set up on the 1"x4" wood strips was simple enough. Once all the components are installed then the rope is routed through the pullies. As you can see in the pictures I had a close clearance between the roof box and my roll-up garage door. I think it is about 2". Since I don't have a tall roll-up garage door I cannot drive my car in or out with the roof box installed. That didn't matter to me since my only goal was to store the roof box out of harms way. My last comment is that it takes two people to lift the roof box up and get the Multilift ropes in place. I tried to do it by myself but that did not work. I do like this Thule Multilift but it took some effort to install it. I really like the way it is raised and lowered by turning a mechanism with a handle. There is a less expensive lift sold on the internet but it did not use as many pullies to raise and lower the roof box and it relied on a rope to lift and lower it.
For our 3 grandkids we needed a way to carry camping stuff. This works great. It opens from either side, key locked on both. We have hung it from the garage ceiling for easy installation. All the stuff fits well.

LockRack Adjustable XL Watersport Carrier - Canoe, Kayak, or 2 SUPs - Side Loading - Universal Mount
The keys are an issue (wish they were metal), but everything else is great! I go sunrise kayaking only and hate putting straps on with cold hands at 3:30 in the morning. I have a Nissan Pathfinder and was able to put this on with another set of Malone J-hooks so that I can have a second kayak when I go with someone. Once the fear subsides of it possibly falling off, you realize how quick and easy this thing is to use. It takes me 1 minute instead of 9-18 minutes to get my kayak up and secure. I have tested it at 75mph without any jiggling or issues. I sat on this in my shopping cart forever and finally pulled the trigger. If you kayak at least 10 times a year or are going at high speeds for extended periods of time in warm weather, totally worth it. If not, well, there are cheaper options out there.
Unfortunately I did not have the best of luck with this product . I spoke with the company multiple times to ensure this would work with my rack. It did not. This system is made to work ONLY on a roof rack . I have a truck with a rack and a slot in the middle . We had to make different bolts and holders to install this. For using 2 Paddleboards we also had to modify the back of the racks holders to actually touch the boards to hold them in place . After the modifications and many many adjustments we have it working and it does hold great.

Malone BigFoot Pro Canoe Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs - Gunwale Brackets - Clamp On
The Malone Bigfoot Pro Canoe Roof rack is excellent and is super strong. I have two sets of them now, one for a Malone Aero Bars Car Roof Rack, and one for a Rhino Aero Bars Car Roof Rack (both bought at Etrailer). The quality is first rate, so why the 4 stars? The reason is that the support back of the canoe racks is too high. It only needs to be one inch high which matches the rubber pad. Instead it is 3.75 inches high. Every inch higher than necessary makes it harder to lift the canoe over the backs of the canoe racks. If I could cut them easily I would do it, but it looks like it would be too difficult to cut the metal back down to 1 inch. The Canoe racks are even better using the T-Slot Integration Hardware Kit for Aero Styled CrossBars, MPG915. That kit has 5/8" long (functional length) bolts which fit the Malone Aero Bars Car Rack. For the Rhino Rack, it uses a different kit that has 7/8" long bolts. Using the T Slot allows full use of the entire aero bars.
Bigfoot Canoe Rack: etrailer was late sending the order out because their inventory system didn't seem to be working. When they finally found my order, I asked that it be sent to me as a priority shipment. My request was ignored. Otherwise, the order has arrived. I haven't installed it yet, but it's been unpacked and the order seems complete. Also seems pricey for what it is.

Yakima Crossbar Pads for Aero Crossbars - 30" Long - Qty 2
I give etrailer a 5 Star rating in every category! Merideth, the associate who worked with me, was professional & friendly. She addressed all of my questions in a timely manner. Merideth gave me a number of options for buying roof rack pads for my kayak. Etrailer has a great selection of roof rack pads in their inventory. They offer competitive pricing & charge a minimal fee for shipping. I received my Yakima roof rack pads in 3 days. The way they packed the pads, you couldn’t have damaged them if you tried to. I was satisfied with every aspect of this transaction!
I purchased these for my Thule Aero bars and they are perfect. I needed to protect the cherry gunwales of my canoe during long road trips The pieces of foam pipe insulation I was using were definitely not up to the task and kept blowing off! The velcro attachments on these puppies are bombproof.

Malone FoldAway-5 Kayak, Canoe, and SUP Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style - Folding - Clamp On
Very good quality materials for the price point. No tool Assembly and installation is a bonus. I’ve used them for two weeks now, hailing in both two kayak and single kayak configurations. The lever that you pull Up/down on is going to break. Period. If you have the rotating level too tight you can’t switch it up or down and if you have it too loose, it will come unscrewed and then you have a hard time longing up that no internal thread to get it back on. Also, it’s a pain to have to move the entire system to reconfigure needs. Would be nice if it had a slide and lock back in option once on the cross bars. Pulling off 16 wing nuts isn’t ideal. The video was great, appreciated that. Do wish they had shown how to tie down when using two kayaks because once you have one on the system when you place the second on the opposite side, you no longer have access to that center rack. Shipping speed was excellent. The quality of the cam straps is impressive. I have a hand injury and so getting the bolts secured was difficult. The fact that they come with two different lengths to accommodate different rack heights was really nice. Make sure you have your cross bars 24” apart as the instructions say.
This carrier has worked out really well! I paired it with the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Square Crossbars, and the carrier attached to it perfectly. I drive a 2014 Honda Civic and this carrier has been able to transport two kayaks with no problems. Highly recommend, especially considering the price.

Rhino-Rack Storage Rack for Kayak or Cargo Box - Wall Mount - Large - 176 lbs
This rack works perfectly for storing a car roof top carrier box. The rack is very sturdy and installed easily on our concrete block wall (utilized concrete screw anchors that were not included).
This rhino rack works extremely well for our Yakima box. It’s off the floor and safely stored! The brackets are very sturdy and the padding provides cushion so the box isn’t damaged. Great product!

Inno Locker Watersport Roof Rack w/ Crossbar Pads - Locking - Clamp On
I used the rack to carry my wind surfing board for a ten hour trip to outer banks. Installation went well and easily.Loved design and ease to load and unload as well as to secure rack. One caution though. After riding for about 30 miles I stopped to check cable and had to retighten the cables which had slackened slightly due, I think, to amount of cable on source spool. Had to tighten about two clicks. The board was not in jeopardy of becoming separated from rack.
My representative who helped me was the most helpful representative that I have come in contact with. All representatives are very helpful, but she stood out as she assisted me from start to finish on my order. This is exactly why I use e-trailer for my shopping experiences.
