Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs
We love our Curt A16 5th Wheel Hitch W/r16 Slider that we purchased last year through etrailer.com. This hitch is a top quality, well-made hitch. It's very easy to hitch and unhitch. We couldn't be happier.
This is my first fifth wheel. I have a short bed so I got the package deal with the hitch and the slider. Took me about 5 hrs to install with the custom mounting brackets and rails for my 2015 chevy 2500 HD. Everything went as the instructions said without any issues. I have only pulled my RV with it one time just to try it out. Felt very smooth no rattles or pops as I have herd with other hitches. So far I like it a lot.

Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Hitch arrived two days after I ordered it! It was a breeze to assemble and install. Coupling and uncoupling is much simpler and the red-yellow-green indicators are a real plus. The first time I used it to tow, I was amazed at how much less movement there was of the kingpin in the jaws compared to my previous hitch.
The only problem I encountered was with UPS. First, they ignored a request not to deliver early and second they left my hitch on the porch where it was rained on.... The Curt Hitch was exactly as promised and the earliest installation I have done in a long time. It was simple and quick to install and fit my existing rails without a hitch (no pun intended). It will be a couple of weeks before I will be able to test it but it is a great looking hitch and looks like it will live up to all the reviews. etrailer shipped this quick! I received notification that it would be delivered the next day and I did not purchase one day service and assumed it would not be delivered until after the holidays. The is the reason I contacted UPS and paid to have the service date changed, which UPS ignored and delivered anyways. I strongly recommend etrailer and will be using them again in the future.

I pull a 34 foot Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 5th wheel with this hitch. It works fantastic. Easy to see from inside the truck when engaged with the kingpin. A little heavy lifting in and out of trailer, otherwise easy to set and lock into bed of truck.

Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs
Droppedsides into pucks, bolted center support on and pinned 5th wheel plate. 35 minutes max. Went to geogia and pulled 12,600lb new camper home. No issues at all. Would recommend lube disc keeps grease off when you remove hitch for storage.
I recently purchased a Reese M5 20K hitch for my new Silverado 3500HD, Crew Cab, 8’ bed. As usual, Etrailer pricing was very good and with free shipping to boot. The hitch arrived via UPS in just a few days after placing the order. Following the detailed instructions provided by Reese, the install into the factory “puck” system, was fairly straight forward. However, a word of caution concerning the install. There are 4 15/16” bolts that need to be torqued to 220-foot pounds and are somewhat difficult to get to. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a torque wrench that would accommodate the recommended foot pounds of torque. Also, you may have an issue if you need to place the hitch at its highest position. The release handle might protrude above the bed rails of your truck in this position. This will be a problem if you have a bed cover. Reese is/was well aware of this issue and sells an after-market handle that will correct this issue. Etrailer lists this handle on their Web page.

Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs
Very impressed, exactly as described in video, well made, easy to install.
Mixed reviews. I think I picked out a great hitch (Curt A29, part # C16140. Haven't installed it yet. Turns out the mounting system for my 2006 Chevrolet 2500HD 8' long bed isn't the right one (holes don't match up to the frame, only the one in the back for the lower bolt hole). Part number 16418. Emailed information to sales & this was the part recommended for my truck... Still can't install the part... Will have to drill holes both front holes (large & small...)... Doesn't math the video of the 2005 Chevrolet 2500 HD... Appreciate the videos, better than the written instructions included. Once done, hope to give it a 5 star. Will see what is recommended...
