Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System
This backup camera is excellent quality and super easy to install. The pre-wired plug made it simple to install to the existing trailer harness. Routing the cable was easy following existing framework and cables. I had plenty of wire to be able to mount the display in the center of the dashboard. The image quality is amazing.
This was the second order of the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System. The first order suffered the blue screen of death during a rainstorm. Apparently, the circuit board got some water in it. When I received the same replacement I didn't install it until the summer of 2022. The original wiring was intact so I only had to unplug the camera and replace it with the new camera (part B). I also installed the new mounting bracket with sensors (part C). I didn't have to change out any wiring or replace the 3.5" color monitor. Still working okay.

Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera System - Auto Dimming
I bought this because my daughter and I had both backed the truck into the camper parked in the driveway. So far, it has worked for its purpose. It does not work as well as the factory setup in my Ford Escape. The main problem is seeing the image in the rear view mirror when the sun is bright. I also need to put on my reading glasses to see the image clearly (if I could drive with the seat back another 3 inches I would be fine). The auto-dim feature of the mirror works great. After the initial install, I moved the camera from over top of the license plate to the bottom of the bumper beside of the hitch receiver, having cut a notch in some of the plastic trim so it would not block the view. That was a huge improvement. When installing on a mid 2000s Ford Superduty, there are some good videos online for removal of the A-pillar trim and grab handle. There is a wire under the dash related to PTO functionality that provides power only when the key is switched on that you can use to power the unit. Run the cable to the camera under the sill plates (these are in the bottom of the door opening) to the back of the cab before exiting to the underside of the truck. Coil the excess wire here and zip tie it. When having major engine work done, point this wire out to the mechanic in case he has to lift the cab to do the work -- there will be enough extra wire to allow him to do this without disconnecting anything.
auto dimming backup mirror works great. had a local shop install it---I'll never be without a backup camera in any car I own

Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - Mirror Monitor - License Plate Mounted Camera
My wife rode with a friend for lunch who had a new car with a back-up camera. She was really impressed and was talking about buying a new car to replace her 2011 Ford Escape that would have the backup camera. I found a video showing how to install the camera on an Escape by etrailer. I was impressed by the company and bought a unit. It arrived quickly and I was able to install it following the instructions I had watched. It took me a couple of hours to install, the hardest part being fishing the cables to the rear of the car. Once installed it worked great. My wife is very, very happy with the install. She says she is much more confident in parking her car. Thanks a lot. I would, and do recommend etrailer and the back up camera kit.
im very pleased with the product (camera & rear view mirror) takes a little work to get the cables run through your vehicle (f150) and finding a good power source (my problem) had one issue with a cable mfg took care of it over all had it installed for 1 year very happy got it manly for conecting to our travel trailer but use it all the time now

Rampage Wireless Backup Camera for Smartphone or Tablet - iOS
Whenever I have needed anything from etrailer they are always there to help with a product exspecially Amy E. I have talked to her in the past on her recommendation and she has never steered me wrong. She not only helped me with the mirrors and camera but with a new Kurt 5th wheel hitch that I purchased and installed myself. A huge shoot out to Amy and etrailer.
As to the quality of the product it's not bad but could be better! I like the fact that there are no wires to to mess with. Easy to hook up and easy to connect to you mobile device. The price was in the range that I was willing to spend so the next level above this device gets in to the $200.00 range. Will see how it holds up!

VueSMART RV and Trailer Backup Camera - Wireless - Universal Mount - 152-Degree View
Superb, top-of-the-line CUSTOMER SERVICE from etrailer!! System installed quite easily on my Jayco Skylark. Engineering of camera and installation accessories, along with instructions, seemed top-notch to me. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality signal that my iPhone received from the camera transmitter. Perhaps I can add more once I get connected and set out for our next camping trip.
I use it in co junction with iPhone X to mainly keep an eye on my bike rack behind the camper. It's OK for my application but not great. Nice picture, good installation video with nice tips on etrailer.com. Major problem is encountered should your phone go into sleep mode or you get a call or switch apps or lose wifi connection. Then I have to shut down phone and -connect all over again as the video freezes due to one of these events. Also as you drive through towns with roadside businesses that have strong wifi signals, then you lose wifi connection resulting in picture freeze and need to shutdown phone and start up phone snd camera all over again - major pain. I use this camera in conjunction with my iPhone X. My travel trailer is 30’ long and I do not have any signal connectivity issues at this length. I use it primarily to keep an eye out on my bike rack mounted on the trailers rear hitch and at times when reversing into a parking space. Picture quality is very good. Installation was fairly straight forward. I recommend watching the etrailer.com video on this as there are a couple of helpful hints that will make installation go smoother. I did have an issue with the camera losing WiFi signal as I went through towns and settlements with stronger WiFi signal along roadside businesses than the WiFi signal from the camera resulting in the camera to freeze and in turn required me to shut down the phone and restart the application. Jenny from trailer.com reached out to the manufacturer and came back with the manufacturers suggestion to turn OFF the phones option to automatically connect to WiFi signals (in your phones settings under WiFi). This will take care of this issue. What great customer service!!! Very nice product for the price and even better customer service from etrailer.com”
