CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors - Clamp On - Qty 2
When I picked up our Yamaha boat with our 4Runner, I could not see to change lanes on the way home. Never knew mirror extensions existed until a quick search online. Decided it was cheaper than a new truck with tow mirrors and I’m glad I bought these. I was hesitant at first, thinking they’d look tacky, but I mounted mine on the bottom of the mirror and they aren’t bad looking. They extend out plenty allowing me to see to back up and change lanes while driving. And they are extremely adjustable. And they can be removed in seconds when not needed. Do your homework before purchasing like I did, that way you’ll know if you over tighten the mounting screws you can potentially break the bracket. Knowing this, I just snug mine down with a reasonable amount of effort, and they stay put. Whoever designed these, thank you for creating a solution to what could have been a very expensive alternative had we purchased another vehicle with tow mirrors.
Worked as advertised. Haven’t had any issue securing them. I make sure I double check when I stop, but worked great with my 2016 Toyota 4Runner Limited towing my 22ft travel trailer.

CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror - Clamp On - Adjustable Length - Steel
Used for about 6000 mile trip. Used on Toyota 4runner. Vibrated some due to plastic mirror body on vehicle. Also in strong winds vehicle mirror would swing back. Easy to install, adjust and good field of view. Ended up using CIPA door mount mirror because of problems with vehicle mirror this was attached to, but preffered this mirror to door mount if vehicle mirror was sturdier. 4runner mirrors are narrow so fully extended to see beyond trailer which made problems worse. Still sometimes use this mirror on passenger side since easier to adjust than door mount. Note, there are no custom or real good tow mirrors for a 4runner. There are issues with the door mount mirrors also. Tried the strap on mirrors, did not work at all, not enough extension. Well made mirror, do need to make sure they are clamped on tight, one fell off first time I used.
Build quality is ok but. Mirror clamps do not hold firm to existing mirrors and loosen as you drive. Twist lock does not hold tight enough and mirrors rotate while driving. I would not recommend this to anyone.
