Landing Gear Set - 36-1/2" Lift - 8,000 lbs
The gear box is the higher quality metal (aluminum) kind. If you have plastic it will be a big upgrade. The telescoping square connecting shaft that goes between the legs is a noticeably much thicker steel than the OEM one, though it is not painted and does not seem to be galvanized. I wiped it down with a thin coating of WD-40 to prevent rusting. The legs themselves are much the same as the OEM lippart legs that I had but with a few added features. These legs have an easy to remove top plate that is secured with screws (OEM had roll pins that had to be punched out). They also have grease zerks for the gears and the lead screw. There are tapped holes on either side of the leg so that you can orient the zerks for easy access no matter what orientation your rig calls for on installation. There are plugs that go in the unused holes to keep grease from squirting out. This is a huge plus. The main reason that people have problems with landing gear legs is because the lube dries up and the legs seize or become difficult to actuate or the gears get stripped. The only negative thing that I have to say about the legs is, they have a little more play than the OEM ones (inner leg that sleeves into outer leg has a little play). This is not a problem for me because I have stabilizer bars connected to them. But it could bug some people because it would add slightly more shake to a rig with no stabilization. If you want to replace some aging legs that don't work well this is a very good high value way to do it. Knowing what I know now, because etrailer has such great high value parts, I would buy two gear boxes Item # RVLG-RDBOX, two lead legs Item # RVLG-LEGL, two motors Item # M1230 and a second switch # LC138415. This setup would require proper wiring and fusing for the second switch/motor but would give you dual drive and front leveling capabilities.
These worked great and were a good price.

Bulldog Tandem Landing Gear Set - Drop Leg - 36" Lift - 8,000 lbs
Delivery was on time, but the box it arrived in didn’t fair we’ll and parts were hanging out of the box! But everything was accounted for and the parts were well wrapped. Installation was very easy. The only issue was the locking pins mount plate is tack welded to the primary leg that the motor moves up and down. Those mounting plates had to be removed to install the lead and follow jacks. A grinder made short work of that. I didn’t put the mounting plates back on, instead I used my spring loaded pins that were on the old legs, they were still in good working condition. Also I didn’t use the adjustable cross over rod that came in the package . I opted to use the one that was on my old jacks, it was constructed of heaven gauge tubing and didn’t have a much (slop) movement in it. Also did not use the plastic housing gear box, I purchased a aluminum house gear box from e-trailer a few months back and used that one keeping the plastic for a spare. Very satisfied.
The leg pin came out because of the design, it is not a strong locking mechanism to not pull it all the way out. (My wife pulled it all the way out) Afyer furthet inspection, in addition to poor locking mechanism, the size of the pin is not adequate for the specified weight of the jack.

Landing Gear Set w/ Handle - 36-1/2" Lift - 8,000 lbs
Seems to be good quality, perfect replacement for the 30+ year old Attwood landing gear that wore out. Installation was fairly quick and easy, with two small issues. First, had to sand down a plastic spacer between gear box and drive bar for bolt to fit. Second, I have to replace the screws that hold motor to gear box, threads on new gear box start 1/4 in back making old screws too short. I was impressed that the jacks have two grease zerks and came well greased.
After one side of my landing gear failed I looked a lot of places for a replacement. etrailer had the full set at a lower price than others had for just the one leg. Reasonable shipping times, everything arrived safely. Best price at least for this item.
