I definitely see the logic in drilling holes in the mounting bracket of the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide - 2" Drop - Class III - 2" # C13701 versus the frame of your RV, however it isn't that easy. If you were to move the bracket attachment holes, then you would minimize the weight capacity and stability of the trailer hitch receiver as well as void the warranty on the hitch.

I reached out to the manufacturer of Hidden Hitch which has been discontinued and replaced with Draw-Tite in most instances. The model of hitch you have has been discontinued but I was able to get the specs for you from the manufacturer. There is not a rating for use with weight distribution systems so you will be limited to the 5,000 lb capacity.

To wire a 6-way trailer connector to your motorhome you are going to need to use a circuit tester like the handy Cordless Circuit Tester # PTW2979 and match the connector to your wires by function. The reason you need to do this is because color codes are not universal and there is no database we have access to with wiring color diagrams for specific years, makes and models of vehicles. Two of the Ultra-Fab 2" Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receivers # UF35-946402 would in theory hold 650 lbs, but I believe there would be a weight capacity issue on the bumper of your Safari.
