The brown wire for your trailer wiring should be for the running lights while the white wire should be for ground. Typically clearance lights use black for power and white for ground, like part # MCL32AB, but in the case of black and red wiring the black is typically ground while the red is for power.

But basically, some vehicles (like yours I believe) combine the stop and taillight functions onto one circuit.
These vehicles will require that you attach the trailer light power module red stop wire to that same circuit on the vehicle and then ground the brown tail light circuit.

I have heard of people splicing into that wiring connector in the wheel well. However, it is recommended to run the power cord to your vehicles battery. This is to ensure that the converter is getting the right amount of power to run the trailer lights, which in return also protects your vehicles sensitive electrical system. We unfortunately do not offer a custom fit hitch for a 1999 SAAB 9-3. You would have to go with a weld-on hitch and figure out the correct drop to clear the rear fascia. I spoke with my contact at CURT and he pointed out to me that the difference between the CURT Hitch # 11415 and # 11326 is the way the plate behind the hitch opening mounts to the bumper beam tab. On the # 11415 the plate on the hitch will go in front of the bumper beam tab, whereas the plate from the # 11326 will install behind the bumper beam tab.

If your 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero is the Sportcombi with dual exhaust, you will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # C11140. If you don't have the Sportcombi model then there is not currently a fit for your dual exhaust model. The Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 needs to have a 7-way blade connector on both the tow vehicle as well as the trailer.

There isn't any type of special removal available for a stuck Yakima lock core, as it sounds like you tried the only remedy that we generally suggest, which is a lubricant. Otherwise, the only way to remove it really is by having it drilled out; while you may be able to do this we recommend a locksmith so no parts of the rack get damaged.
Once it is out safely you can replace the cores with the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4) # Y07204 or (QTY 2) # Y07202.

The attachment points on the vehicle that the hitches use are different between the 2007 Saab 9-3 SportCombi models. If you wanted to use the hitch for dual exhaust models on a single exhaust model it can require some modification on the vehicle and the hitch warranty will be voided and it is the same if you used the hitch for the single exhaust on the dual exhaust model.

I am sorry but there are no 2" hitches available for a 2007 Saab 9-5. I checked with our vendors and it doesn't look like they ever made a 2" hitch for your car. The only hitch that is available is the smaller Curt Hitch item # C11831. This is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver.
The Curt Hitch item # C11831 still has a 2,500 lbs towing capacity and a 250 lbs maximum tongue weight even though it is a smaller 1-1/4" hitch.
