To haul bikes as well as your skis and snowboard on your 2008 Land Rover LR2 HSE, there is one great option, starting with a hitch.
For a trailer hitch use the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13052 because it has the most bumper clearance for use with a bike rack. This is a Class III, 2 inch hitch which is a bolt-on installation so no drilling will be required to install it on your Land Rover; the hitch is made in the USA and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have added a photo for you to take a... view full answer...

There are some things to consider first. I do not recommend pulling the fuse for the back up sensors or disconnecting anything in the system because there may be a time when you forget to reconnect it and you might need it.
Also, the sensors and alert should only go off when you are in reverse. While driving forward, the alarm should not go off. So you have to consider how much you will be backing up and if that is really enough to make you want to disable the system.
Adding the trailer... view full answer...
When we do an install video, we will typically get the measurement you are looking for. Unfortunately, we have not yet had the opportunity to install a hitch on a 2011 Land Rover LR2.
With high hopes I called Curt hoping that they would be able to provide that dimension, but they do not measure that dimension during their test fits.
This being said, Curt was able to provide me with some dimensions that we can use to approximate the distance. All is not lost if you are willing to crawl... view full answer...
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C13052 is a verified as a good fit for your 2008 Land Rover.
This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.
The Euro ball mounts we offer are not designed for a 2 inch receiver. They fit 1-1/4 inch receiver openings.
You might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball,... view full answer...
I could see needing to trim the rear fascia for the Land Rover OEM hitch, but the Draw-Tite hitch does not require fascia trimming.
It is designed to fit just below the rear bumper. I imagine the hitch that Land Rover offers is designed to fit and look like the optional factory hitch.
Below I have added a link to the instructions for the Draw-Tite hitch, 75688, so you can read through the instructions. There is also a diagram that shows where the hitch will be positioned in relation to... view full answer...
Hey Nic! We have the Replacement Tongue for Yakima SingleSpeed # 8880841. However, we do not have the Replacement Adapter Sleeve so it can be used with a 2" hitch since it was discontinued. It looks like some places might still carry it, try searching for the 8890342.

For your 2012 Land Rover LR2 the Draw Tite hitch part # 75688 would be my recommendation as it fits your vehicle, does not require drilling and because it comes with a bracket for trailer wiring already welded to it.
For trailer wiring you'd then want the part # C59236 which is confirmed as a fit. Then for a bracket to bolt to the hitch wiring bracket you'd want the part # 18144.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with... view full answer...
The 26" Greystone Electric Fireplace with Remote Control # 324-000065 does force the air out utilizing a blower fan. It works like a space heater with the different temperature settings, a timer, and automatic setting as well. I've attached a picture of the blower fan for reference. The blower fan doesn't have different settings like low, med, high on any of the units. It is temperature regulated.
I've linked the page to all your options and they will all have the blower fan similar... view full answer...
Once installed the Curt trailer hitch # C13052 will have the receiver recessed under your 2011 Land Rover LR2. We have yet to install one on a Land Rover so I do not know the exact figure but based on the diagrams of similar hitches installed it appears that it would be too far for the old Hitching Post bike racks to clear the rear bumper.
What you can do is follow the instructions in the picture I have included to determine where the center of the hitch pin hole will be once the hitch... view full answer...
The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 will work on your 2009 Land Rover LR2, and you won't need a dealer to program it. Controller Area Network (CAN bus) has been around since 2003 and has been in most vehicles since 2008, so you don't have anything to worry about.
I've added a links to a review video and install of this connector for you to take a look at. view full answer...
Yes. The Trailer Connector Adapter for Land Rover - 7-Way, Round Pin, European Style to 4-Way Flat # 118710 is considered a 12N connector in Europe and the UK. This particular connector is designed for European style camper plugs which has individual wires for each side of the vehicle's turn signals and running lights. The purpose of this adapter is to split out the functions of these lights from a vehicle with a North American style 4 way to use with a trailer with a European style connector. view full answer...
While we do not have any grille guards that will work with your 2007 Land Rover LR2, we do have a wide variety of roof racks that'll work great.
If your vehicle has a slick roof, I recommend going with the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711400, with the Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710501, and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp and Edge Clamp Roof Rack Feet # TH145123.
These crossbars have integrated t-slots to accompany any roof mounted accessory, has a nice weight capacity at... view full answer...
The Curt # C59496 wiring harness is a universal-fit item that will work on any vehicle with a 12V wiring system, so it'll work great on your Land Rover LR2.
You will need to use the included circuit tester to locate the brake light circuit behind the vehicle tail light. Once this circuit is located it will be connected to the smaller red wire coming from the converter box.
Next, locate the left turn signal circuit and connect the yellow wire to that circuit. The green wire is then ran... view full answer...
Since you already have a 4-Way trailer connector on your 2008 Land Rover LR2, you will need installation kit # ETBC7 and a brake controller. You may not have to do any splicing. On the ETBC7, the 4-Way you have plugs into the mating 4-Way on the ETBC7 adapter.
The white wire grounds to the vehicle frame. The purple wire is for reverse lights and would be the only rear wire that would potentially have to be spliced into the vehicle wiring. But if the trailer does not have reverse lights... view full answer...
No, the # C59496 trailer wiring harness for the 2008 LR2 by Land Rover will not affect the back-up sensors on your vehicle. No other parts are required to install a 4-Way trailer connection.
This harness is in no way tied into the reverse circuit and only uses the vehicles brake, turn and tail light signals as a switch, the power for the trailer lighting comes from the vehicle battery.
I have posted instructions for the # C59496 below. view full answer...
I checked with Thule and the OutWay 3 bike rack, # TH56BV, will fit your 2008 Land Rover LR2.
If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bike racks, I recommend using the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, for greater ground clearance and to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works. view full answer...
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. These aren't specific to your vehicle but they will show you the same process that will be applied to your 2015 Land Rover LR2.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885.... view full answer...
I do have an option for you, but there is not an adapter for a 4-way connector to fix the issue you are having with the LED light strip on your 2008 Land Rover LR2.
Instead you will need to install a Load Resistor in each of the 3 circuits in the light strip using the # DI34ZR. This will correct the flashing issue you are having.
I included a video of the # DI34ZR for you to take a look at. view full answer...
