If you will be towing a trailer with LED lights then you will likely need to use an adapter with a lamp-out sensor like the Tow Ready # 20142 or Curt # C57003 that you referenced. Both of these adapters will accomplish the same task; plugging into an existing 7-Way on your Audi and providing a new 7-Way that is able to recognize the LED trailer lights. The only difference between the two items is the bracket/housing and the wire extension on the Curt # C57003. If you don't need this and... view full answer...

Either of these options will work with the factory bars on your 2010 Audi Q5. view full answer...
Hello Mike,
Yes, there will be minor trimming on your 2024 Audi Q5. If you watch the install video I attached the CURT # C98JR hitch receiver typically installs on the 2020 Audi Q5 without any fascia trimming, the 2024 model often requires minor trimming due to changes in the rear fascia design starting in 2021. These updates, especially on trims with sport styling or a lower rear valance, mean the receiver tube may not clear the fascia without a small notch cut into the lower center section.... view full answer...

The 119250KIT is a universal hardwire kit that can be used on virtually any vehicle regardless of differences in the electrical systems. The manufacturer (Tekonsha) has confirmed that it will work on the hybrid models.
We made an install video showing the 119250KIT being installed on a 2020 Audi Q5 (non-hybrid). I have linked our video below if you want to take a look. view full answer...

Hello Seth, thanks for reaching out. I wish we did but sadly, we do not have a video that shows the wire colors for installing the # 119147KIT kit on a 2024 Audi A4. The only way to find the correct wires will be using the wire tester included with the kit. view full answer...
I called my contact at Thule about your problems with the straps on the Thule Apex XT Swing 4 # TH9027XT, and they have heard similar problems with the downtube straps. One common issue is that the attachment straps are not clicking into the cradles all the way. Secondly, it is important to not be over-tightened. The straps need to be snug, but any more tension can cause them to get stuck. view full answer...
For your 2019 Audi Q5, I recommend the Yakima HighSpeed Roof Bike Rack item # Y02115. It fits round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars. This bike rack has a 40 lbs capacity per bike and fits tires up to 5" wide.
I have linked a review video below so you can see the features of this bike rack demonstrated. view full answer...
If your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # ETBC7L as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and run the 12 volt power circuit.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # ETBC7L and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Brake EVN # TK63VR. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works... view full answer...

Hey Jared, thanks for reaching out!
It's not magic, but we do have the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass # 20142 which essentially puts more of a load on the 7-Way of your 2014 Audi Q5 to ensure it reads properly when something is connected to your 7-Way.
Are your backup lights hardwired in, or do you have them plugged into your factory 7-Way? view full answer...
You are going to want to start by checking inside the connectors on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56404 to verify if any of the pins were bent or pushed out on the connectors. You can also use a Test Light # PTW2993 to test both the power going into the power converter from the different functions and verify the power coming out of the converter as well to verify if it is damaged and would be able to be replaced under the manufactures warranty. view full answer...
Hi Jean; wire color information for 4-way installation is not something we have available. To find the right wires on your 2023 Audi Q5 and install your # C56236 you will have to use a tester like # PTW2993 to identify the wires and follow the testing procedure outlined in the instructions. view full answer...

If you have a vehicle specific wiring harness for a brake controller then that would indicate that you have a factory tow package and subsequently would already have a 7-way at the back of your vehicle.
The universal 7-way connector # ETBC7 is meant to be used on vehicle's that don't have an existing 7-way and need to add one.
However if you were adding a 7-way then you'd need to route the blue wire to the output on your brake controller, and run the yellow wire to the reverse light circuit.

The Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit # 119147KIT is a universal-style trailer wiring harness that requires splicing into the factory wiring and running a separate wire to the battery for power. It's compatible with PWM and multiplex wiring, but with it being a universal-style kit they don't have model specific directions, just generic ones. the power wire for this harness would need to be ran to the positive post of the battery. view full answer...
I would be happy to make a recommendation for a trailer hitch for your 2021 Audi Q5.
Between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13331 and Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76183 I recommend the Curt # C13331 due to it allowing the rear bumper beam structure to be reinstalled for extra strength in the rear of the vehicle, and requiring less modifying to the rear bumper fascia.
Draw-Tite has mentioned that in their testing that with their hitch installed the bumper beam structure... view full answer...
Hello Michael,
I am curious what you are planning to tow. Is it something with brakes?
Our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e94CR is going to be a great fit for your 2019 Audi Q5. The hitch will not affect your lighting system. The only thing it can sometimes interfere with is the hands free tailgate. When that happens, you usually just need to move your foot slightly to the right or left to still use that feature. I really like that... view full answer...
Hello John,
Both of the part numbers that you listed are for Curt hitches, the # C13136 is the round tube style, and the # C73ZJ is more you traditional square tube. Both are a great fit for your 2015 Audi Q5, and both are listed with a 750 pound tongue weight. Of course you will want to check your owners manual to see what Audi says the Q5 can handle, just because the hitch is rated that high does not mean the vehicle can handle that much weight.
For the Stealth hitch you would want... view full answer...
