Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Scrubblade platinum windshield wiper blade on our 2020 Chevy Traverse. Now, this can be a great option for you if you have a lot of heavy debris and bug guts that are going to be in your windshield at a lot of time. So if you do a lot of highway driving, if you're going to be expecting a lot of weather, this is going to be a great option for you. And why is that It does have a dual blade system on here. As you can see that first blade that's going to go through, that's actually what's going to be cutting through that debris, cutting through that grime, and getting those bug guts off of our windshield.
While that second blade is hopefully going to stay nice and clean and just simply getting the rest of our rinse off with the rain and whatnot. So as you mentioned before, this is going to be great for those more heavy duty elements. I think it's going to hold up quite nice as well. Getting those dual blades with those with the nano graphite is going to hold up quite well for long-term durability. So the installation is going to be pretty quick and simple.
However, I definitely recommend getting maybe a towel or a foam block to throw underneath our blade here. When we do take this off, we don't want this crashing down, doing any damage to our windshield. You can ended up cracking it. So just a little protection is going to go a long way. Now this might be where things maybe get a little different at home.
We do have an aftermarket windshield wiper on here today. So sometimes you just have some clips or things to unbind. So unfortunately, won't be giving you a great aspect on that; however, they're usually very simple to just kind of give it a little pinch, a little pull, and they pull right off. Today we do have a J style hook on here. So to get this bad boy off, we're just going to slide it straight down and then out like so.
As you can see, we do have a J style with us today, and this is pretty standard in most cars. As you can see, Scrubblade has gone ahead and thrown in our adapter for this as well. It usually comes pre-installed in the windshield wiper. However, they do have a whole bunch of different adapters for you if for some reason you don't have a J style. However, today I think we will be having most J styles on the rest of our Traverses. As you can see, that's basically what's going to happen. It's going to keep us attached to our windshield blade and our frame here. As you can see, we'll go ahead and reinsert this adapter just to its position. Then we're going to head and flip open that lever just to give us access into here as well. And then we're going to go ahead and line it up. Now this guy can be a little tricky as you can see. It doesn't really want to go in all that way. I find it's easier just to give it a little bit of push on this side to kind of find itself to fit in that group as you can see, and then we'll just simply walk it right up, pushed our way up there, go ahead and give it a nice firm hand at the top and walk it in like so. As you can see, going to go ahead and walk itself in and now we are attached. Go ahead and flip that lever down and we're ready to wipe. Now we're on our passenger side. This will be a little bit different as you can see. This is the 20 inch version. So, going to be the same thing for our installation though. We're going to go ahead and pop open this lever just to get our old one off. There we go, like that. And then just slide it off. Just repeat the process, setting that down. You can see, having the same inner assembly on this guy as well. Go ahead, pressing down on there, and just sliding it right in position. And we're good to go. As you can see, doing a pretty good job of actually clearing that simulated rain from our windshield. Well, I think that about does it for our look at the Scrubblade platinum windshield wiper on our 2020 Chevy Traverse. I'm Bobby. Thank you for watching!.
