7,500-lb Capacity. When your truck or van squats under weight, steering gets light and control fades. These extreme-duty air bags level your ride, help keep you in control, and protect your suspension from the punishment of heavy loads.
When your truck or van is built to carry serious weight, factory suspension alone won't cut it. Alpha XD (Extreme Duty) air springs add up to 7,500 lbs of rear axle support to keep your vehicle level and steady under pressure. If you're hauling heavy gear or equipment, you stay in control with less squat, better stability, and more predictable braking.
Some days you're maxed out, others you're running light. With Pacbrake's 5 to 100 psi adjustable range, you get the right support for every trip. When carrying heavy weight, add air to level your suspension and maintain steady handling. Running without a load? Drop to the minimum pressure for a smoother, more compliant ride without stiffness or bounce. Manual valves let you adapt your suspension to whatever the day throws at you.
Built for demanding commercial use, Alpha XD springs use one-inch thick, corrosion-resistant end caps and 20 internal support wires for extreme strength. Heavy-duty roll plates reinforce mounting points and protect the air springs from wear, and powder-coated steel brackets hold up to rust, road salt, and long seasons of abuse. From scorching heat to frozen job sites, this system is made to outlast whatever the road dishes out.
Adding serious load support shouldn't mean losing a whole weekend. The precision laser-cut brackets are designed to bolt cleanly to your vehicle's existing mounting points with minimal drilling. Just smart engineering that fits the way it should, which is perfect for the DIYer. Manual valves mount through license plate fastener holes or a location of your choosing (which may require drilling). With high-quality fittings, pre-bent brackets, and mounting hardware included, you'll be back on the road in just a few hours without a trip to the fab shop.
This kit is designed to work with your setup today and wherever your upgrades take you tomorrow. Inflate manually right out of the box - no extra parts required. Already running an onboard air system? The Alpha XD integrates easily. Planning to add a wireless controller later? No problem. With standard ports and fittings already in place, the foundation is built in, making it easy to expand your control options when you're ready.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Pacbrake Alpha XD Rear Axle Double Convoluted Air Bag Suspension Kit Now this has been designed to feature 2007 and newer Sprinter 3500 and 4500, both the two-wheel and four-wheel drive models. This is going to work with the dual-rear wheel models only. So this is not going to fit the single-rear wheel models and it's not gonna fit the eSprinter models or the models with the ride height sensor. So just so you're aware of all that. So with this kit, since it's custom-fit, I always recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com.
Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So as you know, when the load gets heavy, your Sprinter is going to need more than just those factory rear springs hanging on for a dear life. These airbags are going to add up to 7,500 pounds of rear axle support, keeping your Sprinter level and steady even when your trailer is loaded or the cargo area of your Sprinter is packed down or even when the miles are long. So you're not gonna have to worry about rear-end sag with this kit throwing off your braking and steering or your headlight aim being too high because the back of your Sprinter is being weighed down. As you know, every haul is going to be different.
That's why these air springs are going to give you full control over your ride height and firmness, with the adjustable air pressure from 5 to 100 psi. Hauling a fifth wheel or a full bed of gravel is not gonna be any problems because you can simply crank up the pressure in the bags. And then when you unload that trailer and you head home, just drop that pressure back down, giving you a more softer ride. With the manual inflation valves, you're gonna be able to tune your suspension for the day's work, so it's gonna be very easy, very straightforward. Extreme hauling demands extreme durability and these springs are built with one-inch thick, corrosion-resistant end caps on either end.
You can't see that right now because I do have these kind of loosely assembled with the roll plates on either end to give you an idea of what this is going to look like assembled. The bags are also reinforced with 20 internal support wires from maximum strength under a heavy load. And then as I mentioned, these roll plates, they're heavy duty and they're going to do a great job of protecting the bags from chafing and help extend their lifespan. These custom-fit powder-coated steel brackets are going to resist rust, corrosion, road salt and rough season. So if it's bitter cold or if it's scorching heat or mud-slick job sites, this system is made to outlast whatever the road is going to dish out, mile after mile and load after load.
And I just wanna say, as a side note, I have dealt with many other airbag suspension kits in the past from different manufacturers. Each manufacturer has their strength, but with Pacbrake, I definitely consider this a premium system. I'm really impressed with the materials that the bags are made out of. But the brackets, they have this really great, premium powder coat finish on them. So if you're looking for a premium airbag suspension kit, Pacbrake, in my opinion, is the way to go. These precision laser-cut custom-fit brackets are designed to bolt cleanly to your Sprinter's existing mounting points without welding or drilling. We'll just install, of course, with all the hardware that you see here. And this kit is designed to work with your setup right now or wherever your upgrades take you down the road tomorrow. So you're, again, gonna be able to inflate manually with standard air valves and airline right out the box. And then ,you're gonna be able, if you already have an onboard a compressor, this should connect pretty easily to most existing setups. But then if you're planning for an in-cab wireless controller sometime down the road, that's not gonna be an issue because with this kit, you're laying the foundation to expand your control options. So again, the load support is going to be 7,500 pounds of additional support. But I do wanna let you know that airbag suspension kits do not actually increase your vehicle's capacity. So you wanna make sure that you're not exceeding your manufacturer's recommended weight limit. If you do pick this kit up, we'd love to hear back from you regarding your experience with getting this installed and using it. So you can do that by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. And if you have any other additional questions, don't hesitate to give us a call. We'd love to help you out. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I am sorry to hear that install did not go more smoothly Brian! Can you please elaborate on what extra modifications were needed? We like for our information to be as accurate as possible, under the tech tips I see: -No drilling through vehicle frame required for installation. -Product does not fit models with ride height sensors . -Designed for vehicles with Dual Rear Wheels only. Can you please also verify that your 2024 Sprinter 3500 does not have the ride height sensors, and that you do have the dual wheels. Once I gather this information I will be reaching out to Pacbrake directly to get better answers =)
