Video Transcript for An In-Depth Look at the Pacer Performance Hi-Five LED Truck Cab Light Kit

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the pacer performance high five Ford truck cab lights. The cab lights give your truck a nice big rig look and make it more visible on the road. These are styled after the 1999 to 2014 Ford factory roof lights and they're available in LED and incandescent versions. For the LED lights, use part number PP20-236C, and for the incandescent lights, use part number PP20-235C. Both versions are available here at etrailer.com.The lenses are clear in color. The bases are black in color.

This set includes five clearance lights. It also comes with a toggle switch; that way you can easily control the lights from inside the cab of your vehicle. Pretty simple installation on the roof of your truck. The light bases are designed to conform and seal to the flat or curved surfaces of your vehicle. Wiring, connectors, hardware, instructors, all of that's included, so it does come with everything you need for installation.

Now drilling is required for the lighting to go through and pass through the cab of the truck. The instructions actually include a really helpful template that you can use to drill holes for mounting the lights. It is a universal fit. They meet SAE specifications, so they are Department of Transportation compliant. Each light measures front to back four inches long.

At the widest point we're looking at three inches wide, and then bottom to top 1 3/4 inches tall.So again, you can see everything you get. You get the actual light housing. You get the gaskets that go under that creates that nice weathertight seal. You get your wiring, your quick splice connectors, necessary hardware, rocker switch. These are LED bulbs right here.

These are incandescent. So I did pull both of them because I want you to be able to see what each one looks like inside the light housing. And then it comes with the sockets for the lights to mount into.So basically what we're gonna do is I'm going to hook up an incandescent one first. I'll show you what that looks like. Already got power running to it as you can see there, so I'll take this, I'll fit it into my base, then I'll turn off my overhead lights so you can see what the incandescent bulb looks like. So you can see there it's a nice, consistent light output but it is gonna be a little bit dimmer when compared with LEDs. So this is a good look at the incandescent one. Now I'll go ahead and take that out and then I'll hook up an LED light. Again, both versions are available at etrailer.com. So we'll take this and fit it in. Hook back up the wiring. Then we can fit it into the base. And then again, I'll turn off our overhead lights. And then this one is the LED version. It's a little bit brighter. Now, with the LEDs, they do burn brighter. They're more efficient, and they last longer, so usually with LEDs you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments, but I definitely wanted you to see both of them. I'm just lighting up one, of course. If you have five of them lined up next to each other, it's obviously gonna look pretty good.
