    Hey Mike! The Gustafson 12V RV Vanity Light # 277-000322 can use LED light bulbs. The 912 and 921 bulbs are interchangeable since they have the same T-5 wedge base. The 921 draws more power and will burn brighter than the 912 so that is the difference. LED has a little more variation since they have different lumens and colors like the warm white # DI74ZR or cool white # DI64ZR. Power draw really won't be a factor on LED lights since it is so low.     It's pretty normal for incandescent bulbs like the 921 bulb part # VA0415-00 to get pretty hot to the touch so I wouldn't worry about it being hot. To get something that emits less heat you would need to go with an LED like the part # DI74ZR.
