Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the P13W LED Fog Light Bulbs with Anti-Flicker Harness

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the P13W or P one three W replacement bulbs with anti-flicker harness. Now, this is a great option to replace your fog lights in your vehicle. Especially if you have a vehicle that has a CAN-Bus or PWM equipped system. So a lot of times, if you try to put it in an LED bulb with one of those systems, it can flicker or it doesn't quite work right. So that's why there's the need for the harness.

And we can take a closer look at these and see what comes with the kit and what features it has. We'll get our two bulbs and the two harnesses. You can see there's a nice grommet on our harnesses to help plug up the hole going into the housing of your fog lights. Also comes with some double-sided foam tape to hold up the harness, a couple of zip ties, instructions and a sticker.So, some of the main features of the lights themselves is that they are precision designed to help push the light out further, or throw the light farther than your normal LED bulb. It also has a design to help manage any kind of heat.

So, as this is on it will generate some heat, but the aluminum housing is going to help to disperse that. And you can see all these fins here. That's going to dissipate the heat out. I'm going to hook this up to my little setup here, to mimic what it's going to look like whenever you have this installed and turned on. And this is a plug and play design so you don't have to worry about doing anything as weird as what I'm doing here.

But this is just what I got to do in my studio. So whenever you're putting this in place, it is just plug and play as I said. Turn that on.You can see really nice, bright light. Definitely a nice, cool white. So that helps promote visibility.

Your eye kind of goes to that cooler spectrum better. It helps just to see a little bit better, especially in really dark conditions. These are intended for use in the city. So you can use these on the highway or in city driving with no worries about impairing anybody else's vision. Some lights can be so bright, they're a little too harsh to use on the road. But there's no worries about that with these guys. They are rated for city use. They are IP 67 rated, which means you're going to be impervious to dust and completely weatherproof. So no worries about any water getting in there and causing any issues. The light output for each bulb, we're going to have 3000 raw lumens and then 1,995 effective lumens.That's really the number to pay attention to. The effective lumen output. Since that's more the real-world application for the lights. That's taking into account environmental factors and all that kinds of stuff. That's more likely what you're actually going to get out of the light. After about 30 minutes that will drop down to 1,550 lumens. But still a very nice bright light.The color temperature is 6,500 Kelvin, which is that cool white color I was telling you about and that you saw. The power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. The operating voltage is 7.5 volts up to 16 volts DC. The wattage is 16.5 Watts per bulb. And has a two year limited warranty.
