Notes:
Start your engine easier and warm your cab faster in cold weather with this frost-plug-style engine block heater. Heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable start-ups and smoother operation altogether. It also lessens the workload and extends the life of your vehicle's battery. And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.
This frost-plug heater replaces the core plug in your engine block. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord (sold separately) can be purchased to better fit your application. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the kats heaters, custom engine block heater. Now this unit ensures smoother startups, as well as faster heating and defrosting of your cab. It simply replaces the frost plug or the core plug in the engine block, and it's designed to submerge and cool it. It warms the engine fluid, which increases lubrication and overall performance. And it simply keeps the fluid from thickening, and it protects against damage in colder weather. This is designed to pre heat the engine, to reduce condensation in the engine block, so that emits less pollution and fewer gas emissions. And it does come with the removable power cord.
You can wrap this through your grill and then plug into the standard 120 volt AC outlet. The removable plug is a nice feature because if that ever gets damaged, if that cord gets damaged, you don't have to replace the whole unit, you just need to replace the power cord. These components over here are constructed or corrosion resistant brass. It is custom fit for your vehicle. It's CSA approved, and it's made in the USA. The diameter of this area here, this is the portion that actually fits into the engine block connection point, this is a 35 millimeter diameter.
When it comes to the wattage, we're looking at 400 watt, and an amperage of 3.3 amps.Instillation's pretty simple, again it replaces the frost plug or the core plug in the engine block, and it has the seal right here which creates a nice tight seal at the instillation area. And then you would take a small Allen tool, place it in there, tighten that up, and as you tighten, it'll spread these wings, which is going to create a nice, tight fit at the connection point.A couple of notes that I need to mention, please do not use this heater with 100% antifreeze solution. And be careful not to start your engine with the heater plugged in. That's going to do it for today's look at the kats heaters, custom engine block heater.
