UWS Slim Line Series offers full-size features for smaller truck beds by using the limited space in front of the wheel well. The toolbox sits along the truck bed 4" above the rails, fitting snugly behind the cab. The insulated, beveled, single lid opens to a full 90 degrees with the help of two super-duty lift cylinders, which raise the lid and hold it open as you load and unload your gear. The divided tool tray provides additional storage for smaller items, ensuring that they are readily available.

Today were going to review part number UWS00336. This is the UWS Truck Bed Toolbox. This is a narrow crossover style toolbox. This is a saddle style toolbox, which will hang from the truck bed rails behind the cab of your truck. It is aluminum construction. Its built of a 0.063 aluminum tread plate with fully welded seams and is guaranteed not to rust.
It does have heavy-duty stainless steel latches on both sides. It has a lock here on the drivers side and it does come with a black powder coating which is the best base finish if youre going to paint the toolbox to much the color of your truck. It does have a connecting rod for both latches. They are covered enclosed to prevent the box contents on the inside from bending or jarring the locking system. Right in here, they cover the connecting rod of the two switches, our latches.
The lid has a beveled lid design right here. And it has a patented foam filled lid which will provide insulation and protection of your contents from the elements and it will also give rigidity to the lid which will mean all you have to do is be able to push on one side and a complete lid will go down and latch into place. It does have a foam lining or gasket on the lid so that when it is closed this foam will help keep the elements or any of the bad weather from getting into your things you will be storing in here. It has heavy-duty gas cylinders to help lift the lid and hold it open a full 90 degrees, one on each end. It does have a piano hinge on the lid that runs the whole length of the lid.
It makes it easy to close and open the lid. There is a sliding tray on the inside and there are two small storage compartments on each end for small items. This part is made in the USA. Now, I do want to give you a few dimensions on the toolbox. The overall length of this toolbox, 69 inches, and the width is going to be 12 inches.
The overall height with the lid closed will be about 10-1/2 inches. This does have a storage capacity of 3.7 cubic ft and the top of the box will extend about 4 inches above the truck bed rails. The lock does include two keys. This part does come with a one-year limited warranty. That should do it for our review on part number UWS00336. .
Box was as easy as they said to install no damage from delivery got here super fast ordered it Sunday night and it arrived Thurs morning all in all very very happy with the service

I’m a forester and it holds everything I need everyday. Small and compact and works like a charm. Keeps plenty of room available in a 5 foot bed.
It definitely fits the truck better. The only thing I don't like are the hydraulics - they are WAAAY too stiff - it takes a herculean effort to close the lid.
This Slim Line Series - 6.3 cu ft works very good with the side boxes on both sides of the truck. Have access to open from standing on the side of the pickup truck with the side boxes installed. Makes a nice combination for a pickup truck Installed on a 2022 F-150 6'5" bed.
This tool box was a little tricky to install. I had a professional mechanic help me. It is now properly installed and looks great on my truck. I was so happy to discover that a slimline toolbox was indeed available. My crew cab Tacoma only as has a five-foot bed. A larger tool box would have left me with only about 3.5 feet of bed. This slimline box allowed me to retain four feet of bed, which fits my needs. Very fine box. Good workmanship. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to others who need a slimline design.

Seems like a great product. Heavier sheet metal than others I looked at. Lid and latches seem solid.
Gotta love etrailer. Unit arrived earlier than expected and packaged well with no damage. Service was awesome.
