Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our ICON trailer coupler lock for a sleeve lock, 2 and 5/16 inch ball coupler. It's made of a cast steel and stainless steel lock core construction. So folks, as you can see, it's super big and beefy. 22 pounds of hardened steel. People aren't gonna be able to cut this with power tools very easily.
It would probably take them, honestly, at least a couple hours minimum to get through something of this magnitude. So that's why they created this, right So they wanna make sure it's a visual deterrent but also a practical deterrent as well. Now this does fit over a Bulldog Ram or Etrailer Sleeve-lock style coupler. I've got one of those couplers here just for visual. So this is what they consider the sleeve lock.
You pull this back and then it opens your coupler to go around the ball. This would go in here. I'm not gonna be able to show you that on there because I would have to invert it. I just don't have the weight in the table space. So I just wanna show you a visual of that coupler style.
Now to use it, you simply unscrew the stainless steel cap here. It's solid. It's got an O-ring right there. That gasket's gonna keep water, dirt, debris, moisture, out of the lock mechanism. You get four keys, so two sets of two, and the keys themselves are like a half moon shape and they're only cut on one side.
So that's gonna make it number one, a little more difficult to pick the lock, and even getting duplicate keys made, you have to go to like a locksmith that specializes in that. Once you unlock it, you can pull the pin up, then you can put the coupler in there, push it down and lock it. So I guess I'll try to show you real quick. Again, keep in mind this is upside down 'cause on the trailer it would be the other way but, basically you pull that up, put the lock in place. Once you let go of it, now it's locked on there and it's not going anywhere. And then to unlock it, unlock, pull it up, now I can get the coupler back out. So the other thing to note is once you have in the lock position, so like there, you wanna screw back on your cap, number one, it hides the keyhole location and it just seals everything up again. Nice limited lifetime warranty by the manufacturer. This is the ICON trailer coupler lock for a sleeve lock style coupler. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching.
