Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the BulletProof Hitches heavy duty adjustable two ball channel mount with a drop in a rise and an offset for a two inch hitch. Has a 22,000 pound gross tilling weight capacity. Now this two ball adjustable channel mount is designed to slide into your two inch hitch receiver, and it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The hitch balls up front here provide the connection points for your trailer coupler. And when you do install this into your hitch receiver, it will require a hitch pin and clip.
A hitch lock to secure it to the receiver. Those items we do sell separately on our website. The hitch pit hole diameters is 5/8 of an inch. Now we mentioned the hitch balls up front here. They offer two different sizes, a smaller two inch diameter, and then the larger 2 5/16 inch diameter.
So this will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. All you have to do is switch the ball size. And to do that, it's pretty easy. You just simply remove these two pins and clips. Flip the ball platform, reinsert the pins.
So once you put in your correct ball size, then you're all ready to go. Now the pins that we have here, I just wanted to show you, we're gonna take out a clip and we'll slide one of these pins out. But they are a 5/8 inch diameter, corrosion resistant, hardened steel pin. As you can see, they feature a nice nickel undercoat with a zinc plating top coat. Gives you the best corrosion resistance, so they'll stay looking like this over time.
And then again, when you go to slide it in, just slide it all the way through the hole. And once it's all the way through, then take your clip and then just clip it right into place. Now the ball mount itself, it is a heavy duty ball mount. It's a solid steel shank. If you notice right here, uses this half inch thick, full length gusset. That's welded behind the channel to be able to get the higher weight capacities. Also uses a solid dual platform with the hitch balls welded to the platform to also give you maximum strength and stability. Total weight of this unit is about 47 pounds. A nice adjustable design on this provides a drop or rise, so it allows you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Works well for contractors where you can install on one truck and use that one truck for different size trailers. The offset design of this will allow you to get a two inch or a four inch rise or a two inch, four inch or six inch drop without the ball mount having to be flipped just in this position. Maximum drop again you'll receive is about six inches, maximize about four inches. It does give you seven levels of adjustment in two inch increments. Moves the ball platform lower or you can raise it higher to match your application. If you notice the hitch has a nice powder coated in a textured heavy duty matte black finish. This heavy duty finish keeps your ball mount looking like new instead of all worn and rusty after a short time. If you notice here, they do include this tube of anti-friction grease for lubrication of the hitch balls in the coupler. Again, the application on this is two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. This is ideal for vehicles that have a 20 inch to 21 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the inside of the receiver too. Gross towing weight capacity on this will depend on the ball size. If you use the larger 2 5/16 ball, it's 22,000 pounds. If you switch it over to the two inch ball, it's 12,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity on both will be 3,000 pounds. Now this ball mount does have many different measurements to it, and they are listed on the product page under the technical specs. And also we do offer a variety of attachments that are available to fit in this channel ball mount to allow you to also use the ball mount as a pinto hitch, a shackle hitch, and even a hitch step. I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.
Still functioning and looking as excellent as it did the day it arrived. Well built hitch, truly fits my needs.

Sent me the wrong hitch. Ordered the 6” drop, received the 4” drop. Hitch itself is ok, powder coating wore off ball and where it goes into receiver on first use.

I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.

1 minor complaint: no pin included for securing mount into receiver.

Extremely noisy. Powder coat peeled almost immediately and the tolerances on the pins makes this rattle horribly. I finally got so sick of the noise I cut foam to put between the ball mount and receiver. This hitch has not seen much use and only for light duty (under 10k lbs). I won't buy another one. All of the other hitches we have are Andersen Rapid Hitch. I tried this after all the claims by BulletProof on how great they are. Very disappointed
I own several adjustable 2-1/2" hitches and like this one a lot. It isn't terribly heavy for being steel and is very easy to adjust. I like the pins versus the key-operated mechanism on my aluminum adjustable hitch. Works great with my Chevy 2500 and various trailers and boats from 5000 to 14000 lbs.
This hitch ball mount is a beast for sure. It has a nice appearance and a lot of weight. i do not see it letting me down at anytime. i also think that spacers could be provided to eliminate excess play. The web site is greatand was very helpfull. However, once ordered i thought the etrailer logistics, in house tracking process was a little misleading, if i see it is packaged not sure why it did not ship until 2 days later. of course, i am not on the ground not seeing everything going on might change my mind about the last comment. Once I found what I was looking for I placed my order and received it sooner than expected. My truck has a10” lift with 37” tires which made it hard at times when pulling a trailer but being able to adjust the height on the hitch for the trailer is easier with the Bullet Proof Hitch. You can see the difference on the before and after pictures. This will make it easier pulling my motorcycle trailer and toys with my truck.

The hitch looks very well made. I recently made some changes to my 02 F250 and needed a drop hitch.I mostly pull a #10000 GTW equipment trailer but occasionally pull a #14000 GTW dump trailer and a utility trailer with a 2" ball. This hitch fits my needs perfectly.
