Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com today we're taking a look at the K-Source custom extendable towing mirror. This is going to extend your line of sight when you're pulling a trailer so that you can more easily and safely change lanes, pass other vehicles or park. Really anything that you need to do while you're pulling your trailer. This is going to make it much easier and safer because you'll be able to see your trailer. See how much room you have to work with.
This is going to be a custom fit for your 2000 through 2005 Ford excursion, as well as your 2000 through 2007 Ford F250 and F350 super duty. And your 2000 through 2007 Ford F350, 450 and 550 cabin chassis. This is going to replace the factory driver's side-view mirror on your vehicle. And one of the benefits of having a mirror like this, rather than some of the other towing mirror options that are available such as your snap on or slide on options, which clip onto your factory mirrors.So this is going to be a more permanent installation. Those other options, you have to put them onto your mirror before you tow, and then take them off when you're done towing.
It's just another step. When you we're hooking up to your trailer, this is going to be permanently installed. It's just going to make it a little bit easier for you. This does have the telescoping feature, so it will extend up to three inches farther out so that you can have it even better line of sight on your trailer. You can see at the bottom here, we do have the built-in spotter mirror, which is going to further help reduce blind spots so that we are confident and comfortable When we are towing our trailer.
When we're done towing, you can simply slide the mirror back into its original position. If you're going into a parking garage or another tight space, you want to utilize the hinge feature we have on this mirror, which is going to allow us to fold our mirror up against the vehicle so that we can get into some of those tighter spaces.This mirror also has the power mirror adjustment, which is going to allow you to change the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also got the heated mirror glass, which is going to help clear off any frost and ice and reduce fogging in the mirror. Keep in mind the power remote capability and the heated glass are only going to work. If your vehicle already has those functions, the mirror itself is not going to add those functions to a vehicle that doesn't have those.
One thing I will note is that this mirror does not have your turn signal. That's something to keep in mind. It is a very durable plastic housing with a black finish. So it's going to look really nice. It's going to hold up very well for you. When it comes to the installation, it's going to be very simple.We're going to have the same footprint as our factory mirror. Our wiring is going to plug into the existing electrical wiring from your mirror. So basically just take your factory mirror off. And this will slide right in place. It comes with all the hardware that you need to get it installed, including this foam pad. Just make sure everything is nice and sealed up. It's not going to rattle or anything like that. This kit only includes the driver's side mirror. However, we do have the passenger side available here @etrailer.com. We also have a kit that includes both the driver and passenger side. If you need both of them, I would recommend looking into that. As far as our dimensions, this main mirror face here is going to be seven inches wide by eight and three sixteenths of an inch tall.Our spotter mirror is going to be six and five eights inches wide, and two inches tall. When we have our mirror extended out from the edge here to our vehicle is going to be 18 inches. When we have it pushed in, like we do now, it's going to be 15 inches from the edge to our vehicle. So again, that's about a three inch difference when we have it extended and retracted. This mirror does come with a 90 day warranty from K-Source and that is going to complete our look at the K-Source custom extendable towing mirror..

Yesterday we towed the trailer for the first time with the new mirrors. They were everything I expected:
- with the mirrors extended my visibility behind the trailer was much improved;
- the blind spot mirrors required no adjustment when extended for the trailer and cleared my blind spot well;
- an unexpected bonus with the blind spot mirrors was my ability to keep the inside trailer tires in sight when making a turn.
- we enjoyed a light frost this morning and I was able to functionally check the defrost feature. It worked as advertised.

Tbese K-Source Mirrors are great for the price that's significantly cheaper than a lot of tow mirrors on the market. They look great on the truck and look like they came from the manufacturer. The small nuts provided o bolt the mirror to the truck could be upgraded like the factory nuts with built in washers. Just use the factory nuts and you only need one additional washer. They eliminate blind spots during normal everyday travels and that alone is worth the upgrade to the tow mirrors. I have not towed a trailer with them yet but expect they will perform great. I do get slight vibrations on the passenger mirror when traveling on the highway but I can live with it thus the reason for 4 stars. 5+ Stars for customer service from etrailer. I had a problem with one of my mirrors and they quickly sent me a replacement one out in the mail. I received the replacement mirror in a few days. Communication was great with the customer service reps.

Installed both mirrors in under 10 mins. Direct fit for my 02 chevy duramax 2500hd and they look great. These are a huge improvement over my stock mirrors. I can see around my trailers now when I tow. These also give me more view when not towing. Thank you.
Changed out my stock mirrors for these since I have a camper to pull. The installation was medium difficulty because working around the trim was a little difficult. I did everything the video installation showed, it was just a kind of a pain to work around. Other than that, pretty straight forward, took me a couple hours and I was all done. The quality is great and works as advertised. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase.
Decided I was done with clip on tow mirrors and purchased a set of these for my 2017 Silverado. Install was less than 45 minutes, fits great. I will make a suggestion, I put magnets under the area where you have to drill the extra hole to catch all the metal shavings.

online videos on installation helps especially with removing door trim pieces which for me was the majority of the time and difficulty. It plugged into existing wire harness and everything works like it did with OEM mirrors (able to control tilt using door buttons, etc.) I just wished they would have sent the nuts with washers like OEM. I used on the OEM original nuts since it had washer base on the 3 but had to go buy a washer for the 4th nut since the 3/8 hole almost allows nut to go through the hole.
These towing mirrors were exactly what I wanted. They fit my 2001 GMC Yukon XL perfectly, utilizing the existing hardware for adjustments and defrost. They extend easily (manually) when towing our pontoon boat, and collapse (manually) against the vehicle when going through a car wash. I should have purchased these years ago, instead of waiting until one of the original ones broke!
Looked around at several mirrors from different vendors. Decided that these looked the best. The package was delivered promptly just a couple days after I placed the order online.
These mirrors were a perfect replacement for my 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic Extended Cab. The installation was a breeze. The included instructions went step by step. The heat and electric cables plugged right in where the old mirrors were. It even came with the clips already on the cables to clip to the door. They will be very helpful when towing our camper. There is no vibration when going down the road. He bottom convex mirrors really help with blind spots. I wish I had done this earlier.

I installed these ksource mirrors on my 2006 Chevy Silverado and as advertised the installation was an exact fit. It took approximately 30 minutes per side to install. The mirrors were an exact fit and the wiring was an exact match. I recommend these mirrors for anyone pulling any type RV needing full side views and beyond on either side of the towing unit. Perfect fit. George was very professional and helped me pick the right mirrors for my Chevrolet Silverado. I tow a fifth wheel and no vibration like the clip on mirrors. very satisfied with your outstanding service. Will continue to do buisness with etrailer. Next purchase will be airbag system.
It took me about 2 1/2 hours to install. The biggest problem was disconnecting the electrical connection on the first one. I did notice that when drilling the holes, iron filings were falling down by where electrical connection so I stuck a rag down there to prevent them from getting in the connection and messing it up. Putting on the second one took less than a 1/2 hour after I knew what I was doing. The video was a tremendous help. Written instructions would have been worthless to me. Extremely satisfied with how they turned out and look.

After recently purchasing a travel trailer my wife and I knew we needed to upgrade our stock truck mirrors to trailering mirrors. I searched many websites for the right set of mirrors. Etrailer.com hit the mark. Not only did they have the extendable mirrors we were seeking, they also had a price within our budget. These mirrors come as a set. They filled my order promptly and the package arrived in a couple of days. The installation for both mirrors took only 2 hours. They function well and look great!
The mirrors fit perfic and had no issues installing them in my truck. I like the product and it's almost the same as the original one. When I had the old ones, they made a lot of noise when I was adjusting the mirrors. And this ones theirs no noise . Just silence when adjusting the mirrors.
I absolutely love these mirrors! Very easy to install, about 15 minutes per door. Adjustable from inside and no shake. Can't wait to pull the RV with these mirrors instead of the clamp-ons.
Love the mirrors, exactly what I needed. ETrailer would get 5 stars if not for a bit of a fit problem. Both sides fail to make contact with the window molding at the top of the triangle (pics). A separation angle begins just above the main body and pulls further away from the window molding to the tip of the triangle. The passenger side is gapped worse 1/4" than the driver side but both will undoubtedly allow water seepage into the door frame. Would hate to have to caulk these things but tightening and shimming with washers has not worked to change angles at top.Thinking over solutions to save this install.
Ordered this set of mirrors for my 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. I found them to be a much higher quality product than a similar-appearing one I ordered from another company. Had to drill another hole in the door frame for the additional mounting bolt, which was easy, but the result was a very sturdy mounting. A test ride over a washboarded dirt road showed very little vibration in the mirrors. These mirrors will make towing trailers much easier and safer.
