Hey William! I went ahead and attached some pictures below of the BAKFlip MX4 item # BAK48203RB installed on a Ram 1500 with Ramboxes. I have also linked a video that will give you a walk through of the MX4's features and show you how to get it set up. This is the closest option I have to your 2022 Ram 2500. The BAKFlip MX4 item # BAK48203RB does indeed attach to the rail system on your 2022 Ram 2500. You will be able to open your Ramboxes with the cover closed.

Will BAK Tonneau Cover from 2018 Ram 3500 Fit 2022 Ram 3500
According to my research the BAK Revolver X4s # BAK74ZR and the BAKFlip MX4 # BAK48204 from a 2018 Ram 3500 will fit the 2022 model year as long as both have the same bed length and RamBox option (the ones listed above fit the 8' bed). The only thing I can think of is if your old truck didn't have the RamBox but your new truck does. If this is the case then you need the Revolver X4s # BAK93ZR or the BAKFlip MX4 # BAK48203RB depending on what style cover you currently have.

Do All Panels Need to be Folded on BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau When Driving in 2024 Ram 2500 6-1/2' Bed
Hey Mark, The cover BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48203RB does not have to be folded up against your window when you are driving, you can fold up just three of the panels and it has straps which you can use to secure it in that position. There has not been a measurement of the cover in the different positions, but honestly I'd steer away from a folding tonneau for towing a gooseneck or 5th wheel. You'd be much better off in regards to how much space you have by using a rolling cover,...

For your 2016 Ram 2500 Mega Cab the bed length is 76.8 inches so you will want the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding - Aluminum - Matte Finish # BAK48203 which is a confirmed fit as long as you don't have RamBox. If you have RamBox, then there is still an MX4 but you will instead use part # BAK48203RB.
