Rain, dust, and road grime can quickly ruin gear left in the bed. The Extang E-Series keeps it sealed up with a full perimeter rubber gasket that lines the edges of the cover. When the tailgate is closed and locked, the spring-loaded clamps pull the panels tight against the bed rails to block moisture and debris, so your tools or groceries stay dry no matter the weather.
Sometimes you just need to grab something near the cab or make room for taller cargo. The E-Series folds in three sections to give you partial bed access in seconds. Lift the rear panel at the tailgate for smaller items, or fold back the rear and center panels to open up two-thirds of the bed. The panels secure in place when folded, letting you load up without removing the cover completely.
Other covers can take time to install or remove, but this one comes fully assembled and clamps on with no tools or drilling. The hardware is built right into the frame—there are no loose bolts or parts to keep track of. When you need the full bed, the whole assembly lifts off in minutes with nothing left behind on the rails.
The cover’s lightweight aluminum frame and heavy-duty support bows span the width of the bed for extra rigidity. The top is finished in a durable vinyl grain that keeps its shape and tension while driving. This combination keeps weight low for easy handling while maintaining a sturdy, weather-resistant surface that doesn’t sag or flap at highway speeds.
Instead of sitting bulky above the rails, the E-Series has a smooth, standard-profile design that follows the truck’s lines. The flush fit helps reduce wind drag, which can improve gas mileage, and gives the bed a tidy, finished look every time you close it up.

2 years in the cover still looks and fits great. No visable signs of wear. Great product.

That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
