Get top-notch style and versatility with this all-aluminum tonneau. Tri-fold cover sits inside your vehicle's bed rails and secures upright for unrestricted bed access. Textured, black paint finish provides durability.
Features:
The BAKFlip G2 tonneau proves that a truck bed cover can be both stylish and functional. This all-aluminum, tri-fold cover keeps your truck bed and its contents dry, cuts down on wind drag to improve your fuel mileage, and allows for full truck bed access without having to be removed. And because this tonneau mounts inside of your truck bed side rails, you get a low-profile look and you can still use your stake pockets to mount accessories.
Convenient Folding Design
One of the BAKFlip G2's most attractive features is that it can be folded all the way up and remain securely positioned on your truck while you are driving, even at highway speeds. This means that you can haul large cargo without having to completely remove the tonneau. Simply unlatch each of the panels, fold them one on top of the other, and flip them back so that they sit upright against the cab of your truck.
Then flip up the prop rods that are attached to the tonneau's frame rails, slide the brackets on the cover down over the rods, and tighten the knobs on the brackets to secure the upright cover in place. Rubber bumpers on the cover prevent it from marking your cab or scratching the glass of your rear windshield. When the tonneau is in this position, your vehicle's third brake light will remain visible.
If you want to maintain visibility out of your rear window, you can secure the folded panels of the cover without propping them up against the cab using the tie-down straps and buckles included with the cover. Just fold up the first 2 panels of the cover, leaving the panel closest to the cab latched in place. Make sure both buckle clips are inserted into the buckle ends on the front header panel of the cover and adjust the straps to ensure the cover is secure.
Simple, One-Person Operation
The BAKFlip G2 is easy to operate. To unlatch the rear panel, drop your tailgate and pull either of the 2 release cords located along the bottom corners of the panel's housing. Either cord will release both of the integrated latches so that you can lift up the panel. To unlatch the second and third panels, pull the easy-to-reach release cords built into the corners of those panels.
To close the cover, simply fold the panels back down. Each panel will securely latch back into place under its own weight. When your tailgate is closed and locked, no one will be able to get in to open the cover, thus safeguarding your truck bed and its contents. The sturdy aluminum construction will also prevent anyone from peeling the cover up at the sides or cutting through its center, ensuring additional security.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The BAKFlip G2's rugged construction makes it a great match for your truck, no matter what you do while at work or play. It's strong enough to hold up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight when it's folded down, so it can support your weight if you sit or stand on it.
Each 1/2" thick, rustproof aluminum panel has an insulated core that is made with top-quality, closed-cell foam to create a strong, heavy-duty cover. The black paint finish is UV resistant and offers corrosion protection.
The frame rails are constructed of aircraft-grade, rustproof aluminum and have a sleek black, corrosion-resistant powder coat finish. Glass-filled, aluminum-housed nylon latches and round hinges ensure smooth operation for the life of the cover. And matte black rubber seals run all the way around the cover to help to keep water out of your bed. If any water does seep through, it will run along the gutter system that is built into the frame rails and will then exit through drain hoses that install behind your cab.
Easy, No-Drill Installation
Installing the G2 is simple. All you need is a wrench, and you don't have to do any drilling. The tonneau's frame rails clamp to the inside of your truck bed side rails to create a base for the cover. The included bolts secure the front hinge rail to the frame rails at the cab. Slotted brackets on the hinge rail allow the bolts to shift in case you need to adjust the cover to achieve a snug fit.

Hi there, Jesse here with Etrailer. Today, we'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install the BAK BAKFlip G2 folding hard Tonneau cover on our 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Tonneau covers are great if you want to protect whatever you're putting in the bed of your truck, especially a hard Tonneau cover like this. There are some soft Tonneau covers out there that are just easier to break into. Somebody can just come through with a knife or something sharp, slash through it, and pull things out. Whereas with this hard Tonneau cover, it's gonna be really hard to penetrate those.
With your tailgate closed, nobody's going to be able to get into it, but it's still super easy to operate. Just have to open up your tailgate, pull down on this, and start unfolding it. Just go one panel at a time. As you can see, I can easily do this by myself just on one side of the truck, and you're able to fold it up and drive with it in this position, it does have some pads to protect your truck, and then you have prop rods here. Cool locking mechanism.
You just slot it into here, slide it down, and tighten it down. You'll do that on both sides, but as you can see, it's nice and sturdy, so you would definitely be able to drive down the road like this. So you definitely can drive with it in this position. However, you won't be able to see anything out the back window, so you're also able to drive with it kind of halfway folded down, and it comes with these straps that will hold it down and make sure no wind's able to unfold it while you're driving on the road. If you're looking for a hard Tonneau cover, this is definitely a good option for you.
There are some canister style Tonneau covers out there that are a little bit easier to operate, but that canister is gonna take up some space in your bed, and they're a little bit more difficult to install. As for the installation with this one, it's a pretty simple process. It's just a matter of getting your side rails mounted up, then getting the Tonneau cover all situated on top. So if you wanna see how that process looks, just follow along and I'll walk you through it. And if you've installed this Tonneau cover on your truck before, you just have some tips or tricks to share with us, or just wanna share some photos of what the Tonneau cover looks like on your truck, then please feel free to leave a review or a comment.
Our first step of installation will be to install our bulkhead seal. This just has some tape on it. One thing you'll want to do is make sure that your bulkhead is nice and clean, so get some soapy water, clean it off, and then follow that up with some rubbing alcohol just to get all that soapy water off there. But then you just peel off the backing and line it up. You'll have a little bit of extra, just cut that off. Back on our bulkhead here, we'll pop this plastic cover off. Just get a screwdriver or our knife. But we got our side rail here. This is for our driver's side. And first, we want to install our drain tube. It's just going to give any water a nice place to exit. So it's gonna install here. I find it easier to just take your goam and get it pushed onto your tube and push it onto our fitting here. Just get that pushed all the way down. And this will be our front end of our side rail. So I'll flip it around and we'll get it in place. Feed our drain tube down into that hole, and get our side rail lined up with our bed rail here. Get our clamps in place. This end will be what feeds into our Tonneau cover. So I like to make sure I get that one in place first and get it lined up and tightened down. Just make sure you got this sitting flush with your bed rails and it's not at an angle or anything like that. Then I'll get it snugged down with a 13 millimeter socket. For the spacing of the brackets here, we want one basically as far towards the bulkhead as we can get, so six to eight inches. I just found the farthest forward spot that was flat and our bracket would sit right, and then we want another one towards the middle. You just don't want it to be back behind this prop rod here. And then one as far back as we can get. Once again, I just picked the farthest back spot where the bracket would sit nice and flat. Before we get the cover installed, we'll have to kind of unfold it, and the shorter panel here has these brackets. That's for this clamp. You'll just loosen it up, and the square end of that bolt will slide in the track and we'll just get that just tight enough so it won't fall off. Once you have both those clamps on, we'll move onto this piece. This is where our buckle will clip into. So you'll have this rubber backing. Just take the backing plate or the backing sticker off and stick it onto there. Then I just slid my two Phillips screws through it. It'll kind of hold there. We'll take these. There'll be holes that go all the way through on the back side here to slide your pieces in, get lined up, and we'll take a Phillips screwdriver and tighten those down. With an extra set of hands, I was able to lift our Tonneau cover roughly in place. Now we'll add our bumper pads. We'll have one on each side and one in the middle. This is just gonna pad against whenever we have this all the way folded up so it doesn't scratch or dent the truck. You'll just have this backing and you'll just have to peel it off, and I'll stick it right there. You don't wanna go too far to this end to where it's gonna interfere with the folding. With that added, I just want to make sure we're pretty flush with the front of the bulkhead. And then I'm gonna fold this up and lean it against our cab like this. Now for our clamp here, we'll just, once you get this lined up with our bed rail, it should kind of click right in and snug it down. I'll get both of them snug, and then I'll keep just making sure everything's straight. So I'll stand up, check my bulkhead line-up, and get those bolts tightened down because that's gonna hold everything in place. Now we'll get our Tonneau cover unfolded, making sure that all of our clamps are engaging. So let's check it as you go down, take any of the foam out, and we'll also close our tailgate and make sure that's right. Once you've ensured that all of your clamps are engaging and everything is lined up correctly, that's gonna do it for our look at and installation of the BAK BAKFlip G2 folding hard Tonneau cover on our 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

Perfect fit for my 2017 Ford F150 FX4
Super fast delivery & great customer support.
Excellent cover no complaints at all,I’m thinking about buying another one for my 2018 f250
I just recieved the product on 05/19/2017 ordered 3 days before Very Fast service . When it quits raining I will install the toono cover in a couple of days. It will make the use of my truck more useful. Going on a trip in a few weeks. It will be a great option for storing my luggage. Thanks again for the great service and product.
Installation went easy and cover fit perfectly. Delivery was sooner than expected. Would recommend this product and supplier to everyone looking for a fold-up cover.
Easy to install and stays where you put it. Foam piece that goes on bed lip near the cab is a little narrow but does fit. After about two months a small (2-3 in. square) area lost lots paint. Other than that it is good quality and is very easy to use.
Works great. Took some hail damage but didn't crack or break, Just some dents. The four panels give lots of options and much more secure than a canvas topper. One caution: don't leave you're ice scraper in the bed, since it had a habit of freezing shut in real icy weather.
Would buy again
Fedex delivered with the box torn open on the tonneau cover, fortunately the parts were not damaged, bakflip has great product. Fedex not too happy with them.
Strong, tuff, and well made and it fit perfect on my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500!!
Keeps my valuables safe and locked up, also doesn't leak and does a fairly good job of flipping and locking. All in all, I am satisfied
