When you hit steep, icy climbs or deep winter ruts, these chains make the difference between spinning and moving. The V-bar studs on each twist-link cross chain dig in with serious bite, breaking through hard ice and packed snow to keep your tires gripping. The ladder-style pattern keeps traction consistent as you drive forward so you can keep control even in the worst winter conditions.

These chains are tough enough for more than just snow-covered roads. The 8 mm (0.312") thick links give you the strength to claw through deep snow or even boggy ground when things get messy. Each chain holds up under heavy load so you can power out of stuck situations instead of digging in deeper.
Getting chains tight in the cold is no fun, but the built-in cams make it simple. Just twist them with the included tool until the chain pulls snug around your tire—no need to roll or fight with loose links. The assisted tensioning keeps things secure so you can focus on the drive, not on readjusting.

Road salt, slush, and ice can eat through ordinary steel, but not these. Nickel manganese alloy steel gives each link better resistance to rust and wear, so they last longer through season after season of winter use. Dry them after each trip, and you’ll have a reliable set ready for the next storm.
Whether you’re running standard or heavy-duty tires, this pair has you covered. Each set fits 20" - 22-1/2" tires, giving you the traction you need for serious winter driving. For the tightest fit, add optional rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately).
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Adam: Hi everyone. Adam, etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan chain, snow tyre chains. So this does have a V bar style link, which is going to be the more aggressive style of your snow tyre chains. This is going to wear down a little bit more than some of your square shaped links, but it is going to give you superior traction to all of those. It may be a little rougher ride, but this is definitely going to get you out of those snowy or icy situations.
So this is going to be a ladder-pattern style tyre chain. Also, it is going to be made of a low carbon steel construction. It's going to last a decently long time and resist against rust and corrosion. Whenever you have these on, it's probably going to be soft on the roads. So having a nice, solid metal is definitely going to help it wear away. So, these do come in a pack of two, which have a decently sturdy canvas bag.
So for your all wheel drive and four wheel drive applications, you can just grab two sets on etrailer.com and it's going to be the same exact installation process on all four of your tyres. So the first thing we're going to want to do is lay out our chains and make sure there's no kinks in our links. Also, something to note, we want to make sure that the V-Bar is going to be facing out away from our tyre, and the open end here is going to be facing out as well. Once all that's done, we can try to grab the middle of our chains and drape them over our tyre. We'll make sure we get it nice and even. So now that we're back here, we're going to take our spare links here and our hook.
We're going to find a chain. I want to do the second closest, and then we're going to go around front and complete the connection. So around front, we're going to take our metal portion here, put it through a link and bend it over like so, it connects it to our spare link here. Now we can take our cam tensioner tool, put it into place and rotate this around to get that desired tightness. We don't have to do all of them, but I am going to do two here. We do have about four on this kit.
That should be pretty tight. So these cams did do a pretty good job at getting these chains nice and tight. And I only use two of them. There's two more that I could tighten down if we needed to get a little bit tighter, but if you want that added security and comfort, you can go on etrailer.com and purchase some of these rubber tensioners. And all you really need to do is just have the hooks facing out away from your tyres and then go on a diamond or star-pattern just across from each other to get them installed. That's something that you would like to have with your tyre chains. They don't come with them, but, we do sell them here at etrailer.com. Well, everyone, thanks for tuning in and taking a look at Titan chain, snow tyre chains..

Fantastic. I had to use them two more times to move my hunting camper in a foot of snow then again to get it down the hill to paved roads. Chains are always a bit of work to use but it beats going into a ditch!

Right on! Thats so great, Shawn. The chains look cool on the truck too! Its funny you say this too about the snow because we just got a lot - well a lot for Missouri! Is eight inches of snow a legit concern from where youre from or is that just a flurry?

Thank you for your review! I saw the problem you mentioned in your review and looked it up in the owners manual for a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. Where they talk about the use of tire chains, they only recommend that tire chains be used on the rear axle tires only. Just wanted to pass along what I found out as a reason for TC2828CAM not fitting the front tires. Hopefully this helps!
