When it’s slick, steep, or frozen over, the V-bar studs on these ladder-pattern chains dig right in. Each cross chain has sharp, twisted V-bar links that break through ice and packed snow to keep you moving forward. They’re ideal for deep snow, icy drives, or muddy backroads where grip really matters.

These chains are built from nickel manganese alloy steel that stands up to corrosion and tough use. The 7 mm (0.281") links are strong and durable, so you can count on them when the conditions get rough. They’re made to handle the abuse of deep snow, icy grades, and off-road bogs without giving in.
If you’ve ever had a chain slip while backing up or driving through ruts, you’ll appreciate this setup. These chains don’t use cams or levers that can pop open in rough terrain. Once hooked, they stay put until you’re ready to remove them, giving reliable hold when you’re weaving through snow or ice.
Installation is direct—just hook the ends front and back and snug them up. Because they’re manually tensioned, you decide how tight they’re set. For an even firmer fit, you can add rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately). It’s an easy, dependable setup that’s ready when the weather turns.

Each set comes with two chains that fit a wide range of tire sizes from 15" to 22-1/2". Whether you’re heading into the mountains or tackling snow-packed rural roads, you’ll have the traction you need to stay in control.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain snow tire chains with the V bar links. These chains come in a number of sizes for a wide variety of applications. Our low carbon steel chains go across our tire horizontally. This provides excellent traction and also grip and braking. These are an SAE Class U chain, so you'll want to use them with vehicles that have no restriction around the wheel well area. They're meant for highway or off road use and it's recommended to use a rubber adjuster to help keep that tension. This one is part number TC0A3.
These Titan chains have a nice V bar pattern. What they've done is taken their standard twist links and they've added on a small angled piece of metal there, that really helps to grip that snow, give you superior traction in both snow and ice. We're here at the passenger side of the vehicle. We've got our chain all laid out. This is just to ensure that we don't have any kinks, any tangles, any twisted things that we're going to have to deal with. We're working tire size 27555R20 and again, these tire chains are made in a wide variety of sizes, so lots of different applications for them.
We'll want to just place the chain up and over our tire. It's important to keep the hook side facing outward. As you can see, we've got a nice smooth back here, and then more of a blunt surface here on the front. We don't want that to be rubbing up against the sidewall, so we'll keep that smooth edge facing in. We want to just work the chain kind of down in front of the tire here in the front. We're just going to roll it forward on it.
We want to make sure you got all the slack you can have right there. We now just want to roll our vehicle forward and we just kind of work our chain over the top of the tire here, kind of get it centered up. Any slack that you might have here in the front, you want to pull towards the back. That's where we're going to be connecting it. All right, come around here to the rear and hook our tag end up there on the larger hook. We'll pull our slack around to the front side here and get it connected as well.
It's important to note which link you use in the rear. We used our second there and we've got a plus or minus one variable, so we can use the third, the second or the first here. It looks like we may be able to get it into the second one there. You want to get it of course, as tight as you can but you also want to be able to function it and operate it, to make it safe. In my case, we just can't get it to go to that second one, so we'll use our first one, connect that in. You bring that catch right down over top of it there, that's going to hold it in place and keep it from backing out. Then we'll bring in our rubber tensioner. You just connect it in to five points around the outside of the tire here. You want to get it as equal as you can, spacing wise, but you certainly don't have to count links or do anything like that. The hooks on this should be facing outward as well, just like on the tire chain itself. You don't want that to be rubbing into your tire, causing any trouble. Just drive a few car lengths forward, make sure we don't have any slack that we need to work out of there, and re-tighten. That will complete today's look at the Titan Chain heavy duty alloy snow tire chains with square links, designed for tires sizes from 15 inches all the way up to 22 inches and offers a thirty mile an hour maximum speed rating. That will complete today's look at the Titan Chain snow tire chains, with the V bar link. .

No to good for application. Chains came apart after a couple of uses. Chains would be more suitable for short distance usage not for plowing .

I should have bought these 20 years ago. I haven’t had to mount chains on the front yet! Saved me 5x the price not plowing the road
