When you’re towing a loaded trailer, you want a wheel that’s up for the job. This 14" x 6" Taskmaster Vesper steel modular wheel delivers a 1,870-lb capacity with a 0 offset for balanced load distribution. The steel construction gives it the strength to handle real-world weight without flexing, so your trailer tracks straight and stable mile after mile.
Corrosion ruins wheels fast, especially when they face water, salt, or road grime. This one uses a silver acrylic enamel finish applied over an e-coat primer and zinc phosphate pre-treatment. That triple-layer process held up for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray testing, resisting chips from debris and scrapes from curbs better than standard powder coat finishes.
Loose lug nuts are the last thing you want on a trip. The beveled stud holes on this wheel help it stay tight against the hub so it won’t shift under load. That design minimizes the need for constant retightening and keeps your setup secure even after long miles on rough pavement.
Getting the right fit is simple with this common trailer pattern. The wheel uses a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt layout, a pilot diameter of 3.27", and standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. It’s built to meet SAE J1204 standards and comes ready with a valve stem installed, so you can mount it up and roll out with confidence in a solid match for your trailer’s hardware.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Nice upgrade from my original trailer wheels. It came with 14.5 diameter rims.
Rims packaged very good! Shipped super quick, that's a plus. Pricing is in line. Why'd I knock off two stars? I ordered 5 rims, they are all the same size but I got 2 different brands, with different valve stems. Now this probably wouldn't bother some people...it probably wouldn't have bothered me if I were putting them on a work trailer. But my enclosed trailer is pretty sweet and I'm a bit OCD with it. I needed to get tires back on to get it moved so shipping back was not an option unfortunately.
This is a tremendous wheel! The 6" wide wheel is rated at 2835 lbs. Remember your rig is only as good as its weakest link, so a pair of these would be good for 5670 lbs. Overkill on a 3500lbs axle? Maybe, but definitely gives peace of mind, and the price is comparable. They even ship with the high pressure metal stems installed. The offset is neutral, so the difference from a 5" is only a half inch back spacing increase. Be sure to check your clearances from hub face to frame, but my Dexter 95" axle has plenty of clearance from the 80" frame. eTrailer has been the best vendor, period! I originally needed these wheels in April 2016 to replace the truck wheels I had, but the 5-on-5" wheels were not a carried item. Within days the team added them to their product line and had them shipped.
These newer Vesper wheels are even better than the originals from 2016. Thanks eTrailer team for another great experience!
Nice quality wheels, good finish. Just what I needed. Paired these with the chrome center caps.
Working great on our 7000 lb trailer r>axles
Rims look great and fit perfectly on the axle. Having the rims fitted with Goodyear Endurance 14 ply tires. These should last years on my old dump trailer
Looks like a match for the other 5 wheels on our trailer. Haven't got it mounted yet, but don't expect any issues. The service from eTrailer was excellent! wheel arrived earlier than expected.
Excellent products and fast shipping every time.
Perfect match and fit for our 2002 Logan bumper pull horse trailer. Picture shows existing and new wheel (back wheel). New wheel has a classy thin red and blue stripe around the rim….Tire is 225x75R 15 E rated trailer tire.
I have replaced all of my original trailer wheels with these vespers. They have a higher weight rating than the ones that came on my trailer and failed. I love this wheel. They are strong with a beautiful baked on powder coat!
Fast, effivient service!
Arrived as promised!
Some chips on the paint but it’s for a spare so it will be fine
Haven't installed yet but they are what I ordered. Arrived when they were supposed to and undamaged
Kept me informed
Good quality rim
Has scratch on face of rim.

Replacement is great. Works as it should.
I was able to install the wheels and tires immediately upon delivery. They fit perfectly.
Seems to fit perfectly. Customer Service was excellent and knowledgeable.
The wheels look great and will be a welcome addition to my trailer. The packaging is good as the wheels arrived in good condition, however I have a suggestion: how about a label instructing the removal of the staples in the sides of the box before removing wheels. One of the pieces of cardboard had pulled loose in transit and I slightly scratched 1 wheel when lifting it out of the box. Otherwise all is ok and I will recommend you to friends. Thanks!

The wheels are great. The tires I had mounted on them were already old and now they are in need of replacement. Soon I will be buying 2 new tires to go on these wheels, which still lookwork great.
