With a Load Range D rating, this tire is built to handle bigger hauls - perfect for towing equipment, ATVs, or heavy-duty cargo. It delivers the strength you need for demanding trips.
This bolt pattern is commonly found on larger trailers - including utility, cargo, and equipment haulers. It's a tough, stable fit that keeps you towing with confidence.
The low-weight design of the KR53 helps improve fuel economy on longer trips, and the highway-friendly tread keeps your trailer tracking steady and straight. Ideal for both short hauls and cross-country travel.
Radial construction helps reduce heat buildup and extend tread life. The included aluminum wheel features a corrosion-resistant black machined finish that stands up to weather, grime, and rugged use.
If the tire fails under normal use in the first year, it gets replaced - simple as that. It's just one more way Kenda's helping you tow with confidence, mile after mile.
If the tire fails under normal use in the first year, Kenda will replace it. That's confidence you can count on, whether you're heading to the jobsite or the campsite.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Karrier KR53 ST225 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D and it's mounted on this 15 inch Series AMO six black aluminum trailer wheel with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for utility trailers, cargo trailers, and even campers. This assembly here comes all pre mounted and aired up so it's ready to install right out of the box. The wheel they use is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rustproof.
And as we mentioned, it's a series AMO six. As you can see, it's a split six spoke design in black with machined edges on the spokes, and even on the lip. Gives you a nice shine to the wheel. And the front and the back of the wheel are clear coated. If you notice the center cap is not included.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter of this opening here, the pilot hole right here 'cause when you install your cap, it'll go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.74 inches. The wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on the wheel is six inches wide.
Bolt pattern on this wheel is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel, it's an even number of lugs, like in this case, six. It's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this wheel, it'll measure five and a half inches.
So that's telling me this is a six lug or six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. The lug size, this uses a half inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,960 pounds. And the tire is a Kenda Karrier KR53. It is an ST radial trailer tire with a computer designed footprint. Gives you exceptional wear across many different loads, gives you superior traction, wet or dry conditions. And it is an ST tire, which means a special trailer tire. So it uses this sturdy sidewall so we can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. They do use double steel belts and full nylon ply. Combines for superior function long line. And the tire size will be stamped on the sidewall. And where you'll find it is right down by the wheel, you'll see ST for special trailer 225 75R15. R means that it is a radial tire. Section width, 8.6 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top, when it's inflated, it's 28.5 inches. And we mentioned this is a load range D tire, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,540 pounds at 65 PSI. And this tire does come with a speed rating on it. And they stamp it on the sidewall, but it is in a letter designation. And where you'll find it, is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then a letter N. Speed rating N means this has an 87 mile per hour speed rating. Now this tire wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Kenda Karrier KR53 ST225 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D mounted on this 15 inch black aluminum trailer wheel.
