Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are (also called bolt holes)
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this Goodyear Endurance. It's an ST205/75R14 radial tire with a beautiful 14" silver modular style wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2" lug pattern. So folks, this is going to come to you the way you see it now. It's a pre-mounted assembly.
It is mounted, inflated. All you literally have to do is bolt it on and get moving right away. Now a lot of people over the years, neighbors and customers have said, "Hey, do I need to balance this" all that kind of stuff. No, per the manufacturer, this is ready to go right outside of the box that it gets shipped in. Now the speed rating's 87 miles per hour.
This is a radial design tire and that means it's going to help it keep cool and smooth over long hauls. And this is an 8-ply load range D, so that means it can carry up to about 2,040 pounds at 65 PSI, giving you steady towing and great performance. And you can see the nice tread pattern here. It's going to help push water away from the center and give you better contact on the road, which is what we want, right And the sidewalls, they're very durable, they're rubber construction. You even have a raised scuff guard.
That way if you, you know, actually hit those curbs and stuff, which we all do every once in a while, right, that's going to help protect against that. You also have a nice primer out on the outside as well of that steel wheel. So it's a silver powder-coat with an e-coat primer over the top of that silver powder-coat. And those holes, that's what they're calling the modular design. That's where that term comes from.
And then the center hole, that's your pilot hole, if you're not aware. That's a 3.19" pilot hole diameter. And that's important if you have center caps. You need to make sure those center caps are going to fit in there. That's a 3.19". If you don't have center caps, you don't know what they are, basically it's kind of like a trim piece to put over there and protect the hub a little more and just kind of give that full look, finished look. Nice looking tired, exactly what I ordered. I tried to ordering this first from a website starting with a capital W. The picture of the tire was the tire mounted on the wheel. Great Spare replacement!
These are the same tires I have on my TT. The stock spare was a china bomb. I feel much better knowing If I am a long distance from home, I can depend on my spare instead of getting to the next exit. Tire Blowouts can cause a lot of damage just not worth the risk to me.

Everything with the wheels looked good. However, I did have to take them and have them balanced. I would have liked it if balancing was offered as an option when purchasing the wheels.
I realize that many people do not balance their trailer tires. But I like my trailers to ride smooth at highway speeds. Single axle trailers are affected more than multiple axle trailers by out of balance wheels.
I am very pleased with this purchase. Time will tell how these tires will perform, but I am very optimistic.
