Rough roads can make a trailer bounce and rattle, but this suspension system takes that out of the equation. The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for tandem-axle setups uses double Aeon rubber springs that compress under load to absorb road shock. The springs become stiffer as weight increases, keeping the trailer steady whether it’s empty or fully loaded. The result is a stable, quiet ride that protects both the trailer and its cargo from constant jolts.
When terrain gets rough or uneven, the walking beam design keeps things level. A single pivot point between both axles allows the suspension arms to move freely so weight shifts smoothly from one axle to the other. This design ensures all tires stay in contact with the road and eliminates harsh transitions that can make a trailer sway or lean. It’s simple, reliable equalization that makes towing feel controlled and confident.
Durability matters when you’re hauling thousands of pounds across miles of highway. Each Silent Ride unit is built with heavy-duty steel and finished in a rust-resistant powder coat for lasting protection. Fitted rubber bushings keep the arms fully engaged at all times, preventing slack or rattle in the suspension. Once installed, the system is virtually maintenance-free so you can focus on towing instead of constant upkeep.
Traditional leaf springs can bounce when lightly loaded and bottom out when heavy, but this setup handles both ends perfectly. The Aeon springs deliver consistent performance across all load sizes—compressing just enough to counteract bounce when empty and stiffening as weight increases. Each spring activates only when needed, reducing body roll in turns and keeping weight balanced side to side. It’s a clear upgrade over standard leaf or torsion systems for anyone who wants a smoother, more predictable ride.
This system fits tandem-axle trailers with 2-3/8" diameter round axles and supports up to 4,000 lbs total capacity. Installation uses bolt- or weld-on mounting and requires a 2" x 4" hollow steel crossmember with 3/16" wall thickness (not included). Once in place, it transforms how your trailer handles bumps, curves, and long hauls—quietly doing its job mile after mile.

The new suspension is working perfectly. 100 recommend. No springs for me.

So far all is great! The highways around here are in horrible condition. My trailer has the straight high brush fenders so you can see the tires and axles in the side mirror as you drive. Those tires are jumping like crazy on the rough pavement, but the trailer body is so smooth the cows think theyre riding in a Cadillac!

After a year and approximately 8k mi on the suspension, the Timbren Silent Ride seems strong. The silent aspect of this suspension is no longer silent after things have broken in but not nearly as squeaky as the leaf setup. My stock 2-38” axle beams are slightly bent up at the ends so I’m in the process of upgrading those to 3”. I would also like the next step up in springelastomer but can’t justify the price north of $500 for the 4 rubber springs. When loaded I only have about 1-34” up travel currently before axle bottoms out on frame. My only complaint or recommendation would be for future designs to enable more suspension articulation and up travel capabilities.

I'm glad these improved the ride for you Cody, and the install looks good too! What are you usually hauling?
