Today we're going to take a look at the front hanger for the 2 inch wide slipper springs. 5 inches tall and a 9/16 diameter bolt hole. This front hanger is designed to work with the trailer suspension system that has 2 inch wide slipper springs. This will provide the attachment point for the leaf spring, and the hanger suspends the spring from the trailer frame. This is designed for trailers with 3,500 pound up to 9,000 pound axles, and again it fits a 2 inch wide slipper spring. To give you some overall measurements on this, we're going to do the overall height which is from the bottom all the way up to the very top, that's 5 5/8 inches tall.
The depth on this, it's going to be right at 3 inches, and the width is right at 2 3/4. Now the inside width is 2 5/16. When they talk about the size of the hanger, when they say 5 inches tall, actually that measurement is from the center of the bolt hole up to the top. If we go from the center to the top, then you can see there's your 5 inch tall hanger.
