Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement race. This is a high quality 28622 race. It's gonna work with all the bearing models that you see on the screen there. So if you have any of those bearings, you're needing to replace your race, this is going to be a great option for you. This is a Timken product, which if you're not familiar, Timken is one of the most well known and highly trusted brands in the industry because they do have higher quality controls.
So all their products are engineered to ensure tighter tolerances and run out than other manufacturers. So that's gonna help reduce your vibrations and noise, and also lead to a longer life when you have it properly installed. That higher quality is even evident in the way it's packaged. So when it gets to you, it's gonna be in a individual cardboard box. And then within that cardboard box, there's gonna be a plastic seal, and then the race is gonna be inside that.
It does have an oil coating to prevent any surface rust. So it's gonna come to you in really great condition. Will be ready to get it installed right away. So very nice quality here. Will do a good job for you.
This does have the industry standard number 28622 printed on the side there. So very simple way to confirm that it's gonna work in place of your original. If you see that number on the one you're replacing, you know it'll be a very simple switch out. The only other way, if you don't see that number, is to measure to confirm that it's gonna work. So this is a very precise measurement.
So you will need some digital calipers that go down to 10,000th of an inch. And that outer diameter there is what you're gonna be measuring. This one does have an outer diameter of 3.8437 of an inch. So it'll make sure that that works for you. Obviously, if you see that industry standard number, that's gonna make it much easier. But as long as this fits in place for your setup, I think you're gonna be very pleased with it. Very high quality. Gonna do a great job for you and last a nice long time. Finally, have received the correct parts not your fault the manufacturer of the EZ Loader boat trailer gave me the incorrect numbers for the parts. After pulling it apart I found it out, the hard way so I measured everything and now I have the correct parts thank you Scott.

While replacing bearings and races on my 2006 Triton 190FS trailer, single axle 3500 lbs, I used a CE Smith bearing, race, and seal kit that included an outer race with part number L68111. I could see the bearing numbers on the old equipment but could not find a number stamped on the old race. I spent two hours or more, hammering, heating, and freezing to no avail. The old and new races appeared to be the same size, but the new one just would not go in. Finally, I used a digital micrometer to check the diameter and decided the new one was 1mm larger than the old one. I searched the internet but could find no explanation until I stumbled on the solution in an eTrailer FAQ section which pointed out that the older hubs needed an L68110 inner race. Shipping was fast, price reasonable, and the cooled race went in easily. I'm grateful for the information provided in eTrailer's site.
