These 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" electric trailer brakes deliver strong, consistent stopping power for 8,000-lb axles. The self-adjusting design keeps the brake shoes properly aligned after the initial setup, so there’s no need for routine manual adjustment. That means smoother braking and less time spent crawling under your trailer to tweak the settings.
Each shoe is lined with automotive-grade friction material that’s fully bonded—not riveted—for long life and more braking torque. The pads are tapered and circular-ground to prevent cracking or crumbling, helping avoid mechanical lockup even after heavy use. It’s SAE-N certified, so it meets environmental standards in California and Washington while still providing dependable performance mile after mile.
Road debris can eat away at brake components fast, but these assemblies include E-coated backing plates that resist wear and corrosion. The built-in dust shields keep dirt out of the assemblies and off the shoes, helping your brakes stay cleaner and last longer in tough conditions.
Each set includes 25 left-hand (driver’s side) and 25 right-hand (passenger’s side) brake assemblies that fit most standard hub-and-drum setups—Dexter, Lippert (LCI), and AL-KO among them. The 4-bolt mounting flange pattern makes installation simple, and adjuster plugs are included to cover access holes once everything’s in place.
You can tow with confidence knowing these brakes meet QAI and CSA certification standards. They’ve been thoroughly tested for braking performance in complete automotive setups under real-world conditions to ensure safe, consistent stopping every time you hit the road.

Glad to hear that, Gini. Are you fixing up the trailer for an upcoming trip? :)

Sorry to hear that Merle. Can you please confirm your axle capacity, and is there any numbers stamped on your existing hub so I can see what you currently have? How old is the trailer you are working on? These are 12 1/4", so that explains why they are not fitting your 12" drum, I would like to find you the right parts, just need some more info =)
