When you need the whole bed for hauling gear or big weekend projects, you don’t have to take this cover off. The Pace Edwards JackRabbit retracts smoothly into its 9-1/4" tall x 9-3/4" deep angled canister with just a turn of the handle. The spring-loaded design automatically rolls the cover up and out of the way, so you keep full access for tall cargo and still see clearly out the rear window.
Keeping tools or luggage safe in the bed is easy with the built-in key latch that locks anywhere along the rails. You can secure part of your load while leaving room for longer items to extend over the tailgate. Heavy-gauge aluminum panels under the vinyl top resist cutting or prying, giving better protection than fabric covers. Two keys come included for quick lock-and-go convenience.
The deck’s ArmorTek build—vinyl fabric bonded to rigid aluminum slats—blocks rain, dust, and debris while staying durable through years of use. A foam seal under the rails and a large seal at the tailgate close off gaps, while drain tubes route water through the truck bed’s existing holes so it doesn’t pool or freeze in the rails.
The flush profile sits level inside the bed rails for a sleek look that blends with factory lines. Its matte black finish on both side rails and canister matches bed caps for an OE appearance and cuts wind drag to help improve gas mileage when closed.
Setting it up takes only basic tools—no drilling needed. The canister bolts to the side rails, clamps secure it in place with two per side, and drain tubes slip right into OEM holes. Once installed, you get smooth operation, solid sealing, and easy retracting every time you open or close it.

4 stars, good quality product and packaging. Installed by myself in 1 hour. Fit and finish are very high quality.
However...the drain hoses for the canister are both 3" too short to reach the drain holes in the bed. And even if they were long enough, the hoses are too big to fit through the drain holes. So now I have to bodge together some sort of clamped-on extension so the canister drains properly.
Like the idea very much.
It leaks near the tailgate and the drainage tubes all ways come undone so it leaks real bad at the back of the of bed as well.
Would recommend if your not loading up the bed like a contractor.
The Jack Rabbit is a great Tonneau cover. It looks great and the installation process is pretty straight forward. I like the fact that it is very low profile. It provides the security of a hard cover but is very easy to retract and get out of the way for hauling.
Looks great. Protects items stored in the bed. Opens up to use fifth wheel hitch. Just what we needed. That's the positive side. It took a long time to get it. It was quite a bit of work to install it. But it does fit well and it appears to be excellent.

Had a small cut in the vinyl but I didn't have time to return it. Instructions are basically near ridiculous. I had to reread 5 times and photos are worthless. Ultimately it's installed and working as advertised. Kinda of expensive.
RECEIVED THE COVER IN A TIMELY FASHION, OPEN MAIN BOX AND NO DAMAGE , SLID THE RAILS OUT OF THE CARDBOARD , THEY WERE WRAPPED IN PLASTIC THEY LOOKED FINE BUT A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN i STARTED THE INSTALL THE RIGHT RAIL AND A MAJOR BLEMISH ON THE INSIDE RAIL. DURING INSTALL HAD A MAJOR PROBLEM INSTALLING TH RIGHT RAIL WOULD NOT SLIDE ONTO THE BOX WITH THE COVER VERY EASILY TOOK ABOUT HALF HOUR TO FINALLY SLIDEING IT ON. WHEN I WENT TO INSTAL THE REAR RIGHT SIDE RAIL THE CLAMP WOULD NOT SLIDE INTO THE GROOVE AT ALL. HAD TO JUST HAVE IT SLIDE ABOUT A 1/2" INTO THE SLOT BUT THEN THE LEVELING RAIL SCREW WOULDNT WORK BECAUSE THE CLAMP WASN'T GOING INTO THE SLOT IN THE PROPER PLACE. THE RIGHT RAIL WASN'T MANUFACTURED VERY WELL AT ALL. ALSO THE TOP COVER OF THE BOX WHICH WAS WRAPPED VERY WELL BUT THE TOP RIGHT SIDE FINISH WAS NOT IN GOOD CONDITION HAD A FADED LOOK TO IT.
On a 2009 GMC Sierra 3500 HD it was a straight forward installation. 2 people a few hours. The old cover was shot. I'm very pleased with this cover, as it opens/closes and latches easily.
Great product!! Installation was pretty easy. Attaching the side rails were a little tricky at first, but once you figure out how they attach, pretty easy from there. Looks good on my Chevy 2500 HD! Highly recommend it!
Cover works as advertised and it’s a great option for a long bed truck with a fifth wheel hitch. Going to order a second cover for my wife’s truck.

product arrrived when it was suspossed too. Works good. Had to partially redo the install has one side was stuck. got it to work fine.
Great service from etrailer! Was backordered, they kept me updated well. When it came in, I was headed out of town so ONE call placed it on hold until I returned. It was queued up to ship when I returned, and that is exactly what happened. I missed the notes in reviews about the video, so I went with the paper. Did a little figuring-out and got it installed, but one side would not roll out. Cant see the mechanics of it in the cannister, so I called Pace-Edwards. They connected me with an engineer who correctly diagnosed the problem, sent the needed part, told me the procedure to effect the corrections, and it is now the best top I've had (and there have been many...). So, the shims that are on the clamps are on the clamps already installed on the rail, not the ones you install. And you need to be sure both sides of the mat are in front of the guide before you install the rails. If you read this review, the take-away is watch the video, heed the advice, and yes, the new tow-beast DOES fit in the garage. If only just...
The cover arrived in great condition and shipping was extremely fast. The install went well. The hardest part is getting the side rails to interface with the roller unit, but not unreasonable once you understand how it works. It took me about 1.5 hours from unbox to completion. For future installers. The pull strap releases the latch mechanism as designed. I thought mine was broken until I discovered that. (otherwise, the latch knob won't rotate 90deg as stated in the manual)
I just love the Tonneau cover! It was easy to install and keeps everything dry and clean. My son and grandson are jealous and want one for their pickups.
The directions seem attempted but, not updated or clear at all. The screws and bold threads were cheap, strip out easy. It looks sharp but, if a tight seal is needed, this is not it at all. It is for “locking/hiding items, monsoon or snow main protection but, stuff is going to get wet 100%. For a product of the caliber and cost, these types of things create doubt in a product and longevity.
This is the second Pace Edwards Tonneau cover I’ve owned. My first was on my 2021 Ram and the second went on my 2024 Chevrolet 3500 High Country. Both cover have worked flawlessly and I have no regrets purchasing these two covers.
The bed cover is great. The instructions not to much. They were quite confusing. And the Allen key and socket/wrench sizes in the tools required section were not the correct sizing.
I did the whole install in around 2.5 hours all by myself. It’s doable, but would be much much easier with a second person.
I like the look and fit, getting the rails to slide in to the canister was a little challenging - but over all it works well. I will say the clamps have grooves in them to slide in for locking - I had a really hard time getting those to slide into place.
I like it much better than my old Flip Pac. It seems about as sturdy as the Flip Pac as well, I anticipated it would be more rigid, but that was only my perception so I did not knock a star off. Very easy to use. The instructions need an update, it looks as though they are now doing a step during assembly. Would have been much easier to install with a second person, like stated in the instructions, but I did manage by myself. Realy like the look and fitment, haven't tested the water tightness yet.
I was really disappointed in this cover. I've had retractable ones on other trucks and this one is cheaper than ones I've had in the past. It has a plastic drum where as better ones are made of stainless steel. The locking mechanize is really difficult to turn and I have already had problems with it. The installation directions are useless.
I would not recommend this cover. If it wasn't so heavy I would have returned it.
Just installed but so far,I love it. Had difficulty installing the side rails while it was sitting on the box in the bed. Tried 3 times and couldn't get it. Took everything out of the bed, placed it on the ground, rotated 90 degrees. This way the rails were installed vertically. Fell into place. Obviously, this way took an additional person, but it worked.
Not as easily done by yourself but doable though. Took me about a hour. Looks great. Had questions about the bedcovers on top edge, to leave or remove. See pics. For some reason it was a little snug at backend of truck bed.
Fits ok but buy the tail gate. Where it stops u can tell some water is going to come in
Very nice quality. The first night on the vehicle we had a storm. It was nice and dry in the bed of the truck the next morning!
