When you need to grab gear or load something big, the Trifecta Signature 2.0 makes it easy. The tri-fold design lets you open just the rear section for quick tailgate access or fold up two-thirds of the cover and secure it at the cab when you’re hauling taller cargo. For full bed use, you can lift the whole cover off in seconds—no tools or loose parts left behind.

Some covers leave behind rails or brackets when removed, but this one doesn’t. The Trifecta Signature 2.0 mounts with built-in clamps that fold away inside the cover’s frame, so no drilling or extra hardware is needed. When you take it off, the bed looks untouched and ready for work or play.

Rain and snow can sneak into lesser covers, but the Trifecta Signature 2.0 uses a vinyl-backed black canvas skin with snap-on rubber seals around the edges to help keep water out. The durable canvas doesn’t shrink or stretch like vinyl, and the matte texture keeps its sleek look season after season.

A flimsy frame means flapping panels and sagging corners, but this one uses aircraft-grade aluminum bows and frame components finished in black powder coat to resist rust. The glass-filled nylon hinges and fiberglass-reinforced clamps stay solid in all conditions while keeping the weight down to about 35 lbs.

Installing the cover is straightforward—just position it behind the cab and tighten the built-in Jaw-Grip clamps at the front, then unfold and latch the rear EZ-Lock clamps. The spring-loaded design locks automatically and releases with a quick pull, so you can go from open bed to fully covered in minutes without wrenches or drilling.

Adam: Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Extang's Trifecta 2.0 line of tonneau covers. So what sets this tonneau cover apart from most, it is going to have a canvas top. This is going to be a little bit more scratch-resistant than your vinyl tops. And it's going to last a little bit longer. Some of those vinyl tops will shrink in the sun.
This is going to do a better job of dispersing all that heat. On top of that, you're not going to have that reflection entering into your cab when the sun is behind you. And one of my favorite parts about this tonneau cover, it's extremely easy to undo. Everything is made into the tonneau cover, so it's just a one piece unit. And whenever you're done, you're going to slide those in like so.And as you come back, you'll notice there isn't any rails that you have to install.
So there really isn't a whole lot of stuff you need to do to get this thing installed. It does have a nice rubber coating underneath with three different stages. So, that's going to help keep that water out. And as you go back, all you really need to do to undo it is just undo those little torque knobs in there. And then it'll come out basically pretty easily.
It's 35 pounds. It's really light. It is made of aluminum, which is going to be powder-coated to give it a good look and help it resist against rust and corrosion. And so this is how far it does fold up. We're not going to be able to fold it any farther, but by using the straps, we're going to be able to drive like this without having to worry about this coming undone. So in this drivable position, we are going to take up about 26 inches of our bed. But if you need a little bit more, you can just take these two knobs that hold it into place off, and you can take this thing and remove it.
We should have enough room for most of our 5th wheel hitches. They usually sit around here and they don't really sit too high because these sit flush with your rails. So if that's something you're looking to use with this installed, just check your height and make sure that you're not going to have any clearance issues there. So if your 5th wheel doesn't exceed the height of the rails of your bed, you won't really have any issues with your vinyl top hitting your 5th wheel. So when comparing this to a tonneau cover like the Extang Xceed, the Xceed, it's going to be able to fold up to your cab or your truck. This one, isn't going to allow you to do that, but it is super simple to undo if you needed to remove it. But this is a lot more cost-effective than the Xceed. You're going to spend a little . probably about twice as much compared to this one. So if that's something you really need, I would definitely go take a look at the Extang Xceed. But if that's not something that you really need, you can save a little bit of money by buying this tonneau cover. Both, get the job done, and honestly, look pretty good.So this canvas top is going to be connected to the rails of the tonneau cover. So you're not going to be able to remove it. So if you lock your tailgate, no one's going to be able to access your goods. Yes. If they had a knife, they could probably access all your stuff, but if they don't have a knife, they're not going to be able to take this undone kind of like some of those traditional canvas tops that have a hook and loop all the way around, you can just undo that. This one will give you that added protection when you lock your tailgate. So this is going to sit an inch and a quarter from the side of your bed rails. So one thing I would add with this tonneau cover is, it's pretty dark in there and we don't even have a drop-in bed liner. So with the drop-in bed liner or line-X spray, it's going to be a lot darker in there. I know Extang makes a E-light. So their light is designed to fit into this track system. So if that's something you need it, isn't going to light up the whole entire bed. But I know that Truxedo does make a nice, hard-wired lighting system for the whole entire bed of your truck. So whatever you need, if you need a little bit of light or a lot of light, we have that available here on etrailer.com.So comparing to the Extang Xceed. So with the Xceed, we're going to have multiple different releasing points. We're going to have one here, second one here, third one here, and then it's going to fold up. And with that folded up, it's still going to take about nine inches of our bed, but it will fold up all the way, like so. With the Trifecta 2.0, we are taking up less of our bed when it's in that position. So this Xceed is going to stick out around 31 to 32 inches, which is going to be about five inches more than our Trifecta. So all in all, with the Trifecta, it really is the easier tonneau cover. It took me maybe five minutes to get it done. Everything's built in, it comes preassembled. Tool-free install. It really does make it a lot easier than the Xceed over there. And on top of that, it's more than half the price. So if you're really not too picky and you just need something to get the job done, they're all going to keep out water the same. And they all look pretty good.Well, driving with this tonneau cover looking at it in my rear view mirror, it doesn't have any type of glare like you have with those vinyl tonneau covers. There's no glare. I can assume that it's probably quieter because I don't really hear a whole lot. And one of the main things, it was just a very, very easy install. It took me maybe five minutes at most. So let's just go ahead and I'll show you guys how easy it was.So to get this tonneau cover situated on our bed, all we really need to do is grab it like so, and as you can see, the hook portion is what's going to go against your cab. So we're going to put that up, try to line it up properly. Once that's on there, we can go underneath and fasten them down. So this is a tool-free install. All you really need to do is just fit it under like so, and twist it till it's tight. And you're going to have one of these on each side. So once this is nice and tight, you can do the same exact thing on the other side. And this truck bed doesn't have a drop-in liner, but some of them do come up and meet your rails here. If that's the case, you might have to drill a little hole, but it won't be a big one, but this should be able to fit with almost every single truck bed you have. It's that simple. So once you get that done, there's not really a whole lot else you need to do, just unfold these. Make sure everything's lining up nicely and it is. And then what we can do, we can go underneath and latch this back into place. So these do stowaway up top like so, and what we're going to do is it is spring loaded. So once we get to the desired spot clamp underneath like that, and that's nice and solid into place. And once you do both sides, is literally all there is to it.Well, everyone, thanks for tuning in and watching and taking a look at our Extang Trifecta 2.0 tonneau cover..

Love it so far! Easy to install, take down and put back up.
Cover has held up well. Have a couple of areas where it looks like an animal tried to chew on it but otherwise still great
The cover is exactly what I was looking for. It’s easy to remove, lightweight and high quality. No leak issues either. Would definitely purchase again!
Have to say that this is not the greatest money I've ever spent. I had another one on a short bed and it worked great. This one I have to say is junk the do in the summer leaves just enough water on it that it actually sinks in and leave the puddle on it and it's not very tight it's not very square doesn't fit my bed very well and I'm just not happy with it.
After one year it still looks like it just came out of the box. Easy to use and looks great.
This product is the best out there! I have had this on my truck for a year and it still looks new and working perfectly.
Excellent fit-- extremely waterproof, cleans easily w detergent
East to install. Have had it for year, still looks brand new. Easy to keep clean, no fading. Love the ability to fold it, but not remove it to put things in the bed of my truck. But have removed it for larger items, and is is simple and tasks only a few minutes. Great buy and look forward to using it for another year.
Great product. Fast shipping. Very sati sfied.
This cover is so much richer looking than a plain vinyl tonneau cover. The canvas cover never looks dirty. It is just a great cover.
This is my first tonneau and I am very happy with how easy it is to install and how versatile it is. Having used a canopy for years, this suits my current needs perfectly.
Great tonneau cover! Fits well, easily flips up for access or to haul something sticking up out of the rear of the truck bed. Only takes 30 seconds to completely remove if hauling something bigger in the bed. After a year the vinyl backed canvas has not shrunk, is still a deep black and has not faded at all.
Great fit, very easy to install, appears to be very well made. There is no noticeable flapping or movement of the cover at highway speeds. Love that there are no installed side tracks allowing a quick return to original bed if required. Bed and contents stay dry even when parked in the rain.
I love this cover. Very easy to install and when you need to remove it, also very easy. Looks great. I paid about $100 more by buying from etrailer. Go to Extang and buy direct, much cheaper.
This is my second Tonneau cover from Extang. The first was 1.0 I like the look of the 2.0 better, but the functionality of the 1.0 seems better to me. One of my tailgate-end hold-downs keeps sticky, and I have to futz with it to get it to clamp. I also wish the next version would have a way to keep the front straps from sliding from their useful position when the cover is down. In the end, if I buy another pickup, the first accessory I buy will be another Extang!
One year and no rips, stains, or fading. Also, easy to take off and put back on when we use our truck bed tent. But, I still haven't figured out when to use those two extra strap clips. Don't need them to tie down the folded cover, don't seem to attach to the truck bed. I guess it's just a tonneau cover mystery.
Installation on my 2019 Honda Ridgeway was a snap following Utube instructions. Bed remains dry in heavy snow and rain , even at highway speeds. Easy to remove and store during summer months when I am hauling bikes.
Very nice quality and price. It was very easy to install and remove. It keeps the elements out of the bed of the truck.
This is a very good quality durable cover on a long bed Ford. It has held up with 12" of snow on it and kept items dry on a 4k mile trip. I highly recommend this cover
Second Extang canvas cover we have owned. Think they look better and hold up excellent, fit was perfect and easy install and remove in a minute if we have to. First time dealing with e-trailer and everything was flawless, thank you! 2018 Toyota Tundra Crewmax,1 year review.
The Extang tonneau cover has been great. 3rd one we’ve owned. The canvas fabric is a little different than the last 2 but seems to be holding up well. Easy to install/remove. We would buy this cover again.
Excellent cover for my F350 (2019, Short Bed). Still looks new after a year. Good things:
- Easy installation with good fit.
- Keeps bed and contents dry. (I also love my BedRug XLT, so a small amount of water wouldn't be noticed anyway.)
- Quick and easy to fold to cover front 1/3 of truck bed (< 1 minute).
- Easy to remove (< 3 minutes).
- Very little movement, even at freeway speeds.
- Cleans easily: Blow off dust. Spray off bird droppings.
- Looks good: Much better than cheapie vinyl covers.
Not too difficult to install and this has been a real help to me in protecting items when travelling. Plus it looks great. A screw connecting a cross bar to the frame came out after about 9 months, but it was an easy size to replace.
Good price. Reasonable shipping time. Fit is perfect on my 2026 Honda Ridgeline. The online tutorial was spot on. I have ordered from etrailer for years. Everything has always been excellent and this cover is no exception. I highly recommend etrailer.
So far, so good! The instructions can get kind of confusing though since they are general for many types of truck beds. Mine is a 2013 Totyota Tacoma with the 6' bed. For this truck bed, you need to install the brackets on the utility rails for the 4 fasteners to lock onto. Set the brackets in a way that the fasteners are centered on the brackets; that way you can make minor adjustments to the position of the tonneau cover without having to re-position the brackets themselves.
