Some covers make it tough to get to your gear when you only need part of the bed open. The Extang E-Series solves that with its tri-fold vinyl design. You can lift the rear panel at the tailgate for quick access to what’s inside, or fold up the rear and center panels to clear two-thirds of the bed. When you need the whole bed open, the entire cover removes in minutes without tools.
Rain, wash water, and dust can creep into the bed if the edges aren’t sealed tight. This cover uses a full-perimeter rubber seal that runs all the way around to keep water out. The snug fit helps block leaks at the sides and tailgate so your tools, groceries, or camping gear stay dry and clean even through bad weather.
Loose clamps can make a cover shift or rattle. The E-Series uses sturdy, spring-loaded tailgate clamps that stay tight once the tailgate is closed and locked. That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
