Full Bed Access: Quad-Fold Design
Loading large gear doesn’t mean you have to remove the cover. The BAKFlip G2 folds up in four sections so you can open as much or as little of the bed as you need. When you want full space, just fold each panel back and lock it upright against the cab using the built-in prop rods. Rubber bumpers keep it from touching the cab glass, and the third brake light stays visible. You can also secure it partially folded with tie-down straps if you want to keep your rear window clear.
Everyday Security: Automatic Latching Panels
Keeping your tools or groceries out of sight is simple. Each panel latches automatically under its own weight, so when you drop the tailgate and fold the panels down, everything locks tight. Once the tailgate is locked, the bed is sealed off—no one can lift or pry the cover open. The 1/2" thick aluminum panels are rustproof and tough enough that they can’t be peeled up or cut through, giving your cargo solid protection.
All-Weather Protection: Sealed and Drained System
Rain, snow, or car washes won’t ruin your haul. Matte black rubber seals run all the way around the cover to block water, and any moisture that gets through is directed into the built-in gutter system and out through drain hoses behind the cab. The black paint finish with a hair-cell texture resists UV damage and corrosion, keeping the cover looking good and working smooth through every season.

The G2’s panels and rails are made from aircraft-grade, rustproof aluminum with a durable black powder-coat finish. Each insulated panel supports up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight when closed, so it’s strong enough for real work. The glass-filled nylon latches and round hinges are designed for years of smooth operation without binding or sticking.
Quick Setup: No-Drill Installation
Getting it installed is straightforward. The frame rails clamp inside the bed rails—no drilling required—and the hinge rail bolts into place using the included hardware. Slotted brackets let you fine-tune the alignment for a snug, even fit. The cover looks good, if I ever get it on. Need 8 claps to put on side rails, only got 6! Had to call to get 2 more shipped to me.

Very easy to install. I didn't use the instructions (no, I'm not one of those guys). I used the installation video on the BSK G2 tonneau cover on etrailer.com! It arrived in just a few days and was very well packaged. I can finally store things in the bed of my truck safely. Way to go etrailer and BAK Industries!!

I ordered a Bakflip tonneau cover and fob lock for my tailgate. Instructions on the cover were perfect. It looks great. Absolutely no institutional videos on my 2011 GMC Canyon for the remote. The wiring connection portion of the install was just past tedious. Once figured out it works like a dream.

Ok the cover is great if you use it to secure items in the back but, the down fall is how the system attaches to the Ram trucks. The pressure applied by the bolts for securing the side rails causes the manufacturers bed rails to buckle in the middle which, is minimal if you live in a cold climate but, for the majority, it causes issues. I love the security but I hate what it does to my bed rails.

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

I have had many brands of hard covers and this one out performs the others.
The installation is critical especially with the RAM box configuration as I have.
All the parts were supplied. Take your time, read and measure twice cut once.

This cover has been perfect for my application. Previously I had an electric motorized unit that leaked badly when it rained and had no mechanical override in the event the truck was not running. This cover is nearly waterproof and is easily opened and held open for travel if I choose to do so. It looks and works very well.

Good product. I had to re-drill the prop rods for the cover. They were no where near where they should have been. Other than that, the installation went pretty well. Not quite as sturdy as the one I bought 15 years ago from the same company.

The BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover has done an excellent job of protecting our various item in he truck bed while running around town or out camping. It is a good solution to securing items in the truck bed from casual theft.

I bought this cover so when I tow my fifth wheel camper I can open up and still leave a section closed to cover my air compressor and inverter and when I drop the trailer I can cover my hitch and lock it. It works perfectly for my application. Great quality and sturdy.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

The tonneau cover is excellent when you get it installed properly. I can only give it a 3 rating because the workmanship of their latches the way they installed them was very shabby. Had to move all the latches back into their frame so they would not hit the side rails, had to re-drill holes that fastened most of the latches to the frame. If they would have taken their time installed the latches properly, then it would have been an excellent tonneau cover all over.

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.

This is the second BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover we have purchased. The first was for our 2005 Chevy. This is for our 2017 GMC. The 2005 fit much better. The 2017 model is not wide enough to actually fit the bed allowing water to easily enter the bed. Also the posts that hold the cover up against the cab were drilled wrong. You have to remove the slide to fit the prop rod. They simply drilled the hole for the nutzert in the wrong spot on the passenger side. Just not the same quality fit or finish as the 2005 version. We would have returned it but sending it back was going to be too much of a hassle due to its size.
This cover is now completely junk due to a hail storm. No fault of BAKflip but the hail storm destroyed the cover is seconds. The aluminum used in this model is just too light to protect from any type of impact.

We purchased the BAK Industries BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover for our 2019 Ram 2500. We use this cover for security/keeping the weather off of our camping accessories for our RV. The cover works great and is fairly waterproof. The only issues we have had is the 1st latching cable, most of the time we need to pull the cable release from both sides to release the locking lugs to open. Over-all a good purchase, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a hard cover.

Overall, a good product. This is the third BakFlip I've owned on different trucks. Quality wasn't as good as older units. The wires to release the latches are too long and get trapped inside the cover so you can't reach them. I added pieces of tape to fix this problem. Also, the nylon straps to hold it open are a nice addition but the plastic buckles broke almost immediately. Older units with metal rings for you to attach bungee cords was a better design.

F-350 Super Duty
This is the third Bak flip G2 Yard Tonneau Cover. Like that they are strong enough to hold test shap and fold flay enough the I can use the bed camera on my F-350 to help me hook up to the 5th wheel. And when it is closed and my tailgate is locked does provide some protection against theft of anything in the bed. I would recommend the cover to anyone that needs one.

If you have some weird bracket in your truck feel free to send me a picture, but there's nothing I can see that should be in the way.
