Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Counteract Tire Balancing Beads 4-Pack for Tandem Axle Trailers

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Counteract four pack of three ounce tire balancing beads for the tandem axle trailers. Now, these Counteract balancing beads are the economical way to balance your four 8 inch to 12 inch trailer tire and wheel assemblies for the lifetime of your tire. Basically, the beads will install inside the tires. Now, I do wanna zoom in and show you the bag you'll receive. You'll get this bag.

Now, it will be sealed at the top, has a tear-off strip, which I've already removed, just to show you what's all included in the bag that you get. So if we dump everything out, I'm gonna pull it all out here, and you'll be able to see. We've got our valve stems, our caps, and our beads. I'll just sort of line them up here, so you can see. But basically, it'll include four 3 ounce bags of the balancing beads, four of the vortex valve cores, and then four of the standard logo valve caps.

Now, the beads are tiny spheres made of coated glass. The balancing beads will not cause damage to the inner line of your tire, and they won't clump regardless of excess moisture, and they are TPMS compatible. These beads are environmentally friendly, they are reusable and recyclable beads. Now, how these Counteract beads will balance your tires and wheel assembly, I do wanna pop up an insert, just to show you to follow along. Basically, what happens is once your tire begins to roll, the bag will break on the inside of the tire, and the beads will get distributed around the interior, thanks to centrifugal force.

And as that wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot that's in the unbalanced tire is gonna pull up and down on the vehicle suspension. So this is gonna cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pull, and the beads will continue to migrate until there's enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot to help balance out your tire. Now, these tire balancing beads will continuously and automatically readjust the balance of your trailer tire and wheel assemblies. They do reduce vibration, they'll ensure even wear to increase life of the tire, and they decrease roll resistance for improved fuel economy. Now, they are easy installation.

All you do is throw one of these bags into the tire and wheel assembly when the tire is removed from the wheel, or you can even inject the beads in through the valve stem. The beads do remain inside the tire, they don't come loose. And they'll not cause any damage to the wheels. Now, one thing is if your tire does have an internal TPMS sensor, you do wanna make sure to break down the tire to install these beads. Now, when you go to order these, to order the correct amount of beads for your application, you'll need to get the size of the tire from the sidewall of your trailer tire and match it to the tire sizes listed on the product page for that size bag of beads. Comes in many different size of beads, or many different size of these bags, and we do sell them separately on our website. This kit here, this one is gonna be a four pack of three ounce balancing bead bags. These are designed for use on tandem axle trailers that have the 8 inch to 12 inch size trailer tires and a minimum of a half ton suspension. You do not wanna use these beads on passenger cars or SUVs. Now, in order to reduce the possibility of valve leaks, as we showed you, they do include four of these Counteract vortex valve cores that you'll wanna replace your valve cores on your tire stems. You just unscrew them, put these in place, and then use this metal cap in place of the original cap to help seal it. These items are included in every bag of Counteract beads. Now, the beads themselves are made in the USA. And this is for a quantity of four bags of three ounces each.
